Hi guys. Up in windy Scarborough, waiting for the fine weather! Presently running a Bonneville 850 when It's warm & dry enough! Always had a hankering for a cruiser, so may be looking for an XVS Classic to try before I finally get too old!! Are there any XVS riders within 30 or 40 miles of Scarborough?

Hi all, I'm new here and a sort of new biker. I'm old enough to have ridden 250's back in the 80s when L plates were all that was required. I had a Yam 250 custom from new back then :-) I even took part in some of the helmet law protest rallies when living down in Weston Super Mud in 1980. It's probably a common story, but a wife, kids and a mortgage meant 4 wheels became the necessity. I tried to choose the screen name MidLifeCrisis on sign up as my wife reckons wanting a bike again is a sure sign, but it was already taken so I'm glad I'm not the only one!! The term 'sad old git' apparently applies too! Anyway - have just obtained a XV1600 Wildst…

Hi all, I used this forum when I had a XJ6F which I sold on and went back to cruisers, missed them and having always had Suzuki's M800 then 2 vl800's well 3 I guess I bought my original one back after selling it 9 years ago! Well decided that it was time to try something more modern but stillin cruiser clothes so I have bought a 2013 Midnight Star XVS950A with just 1400 miles on the clock, looks great and a bit more minimalistic compared to my dressed chrome armchair Volusia. Cobra pipes and a screen are the only extras and I am looking forward to learning the heel and toe shifter!! I will no doubt add luggage and a few other bits over time. The Vl800 aka Intrud…

Hi all I'm new to the site, inspired by frustration. I sold my BMW k1200lt to help move house some while back. As the money side of things got better i thought i'd get back to my younger self and buy a doer upper in the guise of a 1979 DT250mx. After about a year now (this is the frustration part) i still don't have the parts i need to finish the bike. stupidly i hadn't done any research on the availability of bits but i had hoped ebay and a few breakers could get me there, not yet. The main thing that irritates me is that i have seen the same model bike for sale in a worse state of missing parts than mine, offered for sale as an easy winter pro…

Hi im stuart . Been riding bikes for 30 years , i was a despatch rider in London , survived . In recent years i have only ridden for pleasure . I have just bought a 1985 Yamaha Serow 225 to bare metal restore . As i participate in country sports i thouht this bike would be perfect to get around the meadows with out doing to much damage to the turf ,as im now partialy disabled .

Hi all, after plugging about for 3 years on a jinlun 125 cruiser I decided I needed something more capable of hauling my considerable bulk and fell in love with a '91 xj900f. Sadly falling off and breaking my wrist during mod 1 training has screwed my plans for the next few months
