New to the forum. From Ontario Canada. Restoring a 1974 DT175. Bought one originally in 1974 and loved it. Took me years to stumble across another one. Am presently replacing crank bearings and my require some advice along the way. Glad to know there is a forum to look to for some help.

Hi, i am Milan form Serbia, i bought my yamaha 1 week ago, and it have some problems that i cant solve.. First.. It cant start with electric start, only on push, on push it starts in 1meter, it has spark when i press electric starter button, but i goes to 400RPM and it cant start.. i boungt new battery today, but same.. Second.. Fuel leaks from left side under the stator, i opened it, and is leaks from the middle of engine, inside trough and under stator and magnet.. every time i open the fuel is starts to leak from under stator or crank case, i checked engine, and carb but there is no leaking from carb, and engine is dry on the top, it only leaks under the stator..…

i came across your blinding site looking for pictures of a RD125DX like my best mate had back in the day. lm a bit of a fan of the Yamaha to say the least, i have a few. The little IT is what i had on the road at 17, the R1 is for my inner 12 year old..........................and probably the eventual demise of my driving licence The big IT has had a few mods, head etc, so it works, got some others but cannot upload any more pics Picked up the CS3 for about 300 quid, it is now immaculate 2400 miles. Enjoy riding, not very mechanical but i am getting better. Typical non starting highly faulty xs250 is my bike. When/if it runs its great, turns heads and sounds nice.

Hi, i am Milan form Serbia, i am big fan of Yamaha and my first bike was yamaha tdr 125, and then i sell it and bought Aprilia RS50 with 90cc kit, and now i have Yamaha TZR '04 that i bought last week.. with polini 80cc cyl, airsal racing crankshaft, polini carbon reeds,.. and probably i will buy TZR 125 engine with 160 polini kit, it is in TZR '98.. that will be my project for this summer.. see ya on the road

hi lads, my names mike I'm from Plymouth, devon. got my first bike about 20months ago (ybr125) didn't really like it as it just seemed boring and cold compared to a car, sold it, few months later got a 2stroke and iv been building, swapping selling and modifying bikes ever since, I think I'm on my 13th now haha (still got 2 and 2 projects). so since the summer when I started working on my first 2 stroke iv learnt how to rebuild bikes completely myself, I still get stumped now again but I think with no real qualifications I'm doing alright haha! anyways I had an old '91dtr a few months back, modified it a bit (cosmetically mainly as I was happy with the power ) …

Hello to all... I am looking for some advise... I have a 07 DT 125 Rx... It's my second DT, I had one as a teenager... She's been mine since 2011, I have recently noticed that there is a lot of oily residue all over the tail end of my bike... It's been suggested "wrong oil" also suggested "wrong fuel"... As a rider not a mechanic or restorer I am at a loss... Please advise if you are more informed than I...

Obviously new to the Forum - mainly for help - if I'm honest. I've recently bought an XJ 600 (pre-diversion) as a non runner. It had been standing for 4 years and looked as though it needed a bit of loving and care to get it back on the road again. The poor thing :(. It's my project for the Summer. However, I'm offering (free of charge - you pay the postage or pick up personally) the rear pannier brackets (both sides) off this bike. Hello all, I have started a new membership since my email has changed. It's now [email protected]. I got my YAS1C started this weekend after restoring and fixing the leaks in the gas tank and replacing fuel lines, etc. It is smoking terribly periodically, which causes the engine to misfire and sometime die. From what I can read this is likely caused by the crank seal leaking. Make sense? Any help on where I can find a replacement? Also need to rebuild the oil injection pump (I think), so will be in need of replacement parts for the oil pump as well. Any help you can provide with sourcing these parts and their replacement would be much appreciated. Thanks!…

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, and new to biking, on the road, anyway I'm starting with a 1989 DT175, which should give me a bit of fun and keep me out of too much trouble while learning. hi all . long time rider here sinced 1981.... first bike was a 1980 yamaha rx 125 so i guess it was the bike that changed my life as i had never ridden a motorcycle since then..... i have others listed, but currently restoring a yamaha rx 125 exactly the same as my new bike which is coming along well and hopefully should have it on club rego by XMAS ????

Not that great at introduction threads but I thought I'd stick one up anyways Been a lurker here for ages so thought it was about time I joined up Got a Xs250 late last year for free as a wee winter project to keep me busy so been chipping away at that over winter to keep me busy, Can imagine the state of it for being a free bike!
