Hi my name is Alex , live in London and have 2 bikes (Yamaha vity 125 2010 , Honda PCX 2012) With the Yamaha I have some problems when the engine is warm. First i had problems even when i was waiting at the stoplights , it would turnoff, after i adjusted the valve clearance it doesnt turnoff anymore but when i drive it and it gets warm , i cant restart it if i switch the engine off, need to wait for it to cool off and it works. Changed the sparkplug, the valve clearance is okay ,battery okay , airfilter okay, can this problem relate to the carb ? Or what seems to be the problem ? Kind regards! AleX P.S. Got this bike from a guy that didnt d…

Hi This is Tony, new member - just joined. Bikes: Yamaha YZf R125, Yamaha XVS 125, Honda Forza 125 (for everyday commuting) Have just bought the XVS, lovely bike, not too fast but then you don'#t ride these for speed! 60 is fine for enjoying the countryside. Has anybody on here thought about an exhust upgrade? I was kind of thinking Highway Hawk but wondered what sort of rejetting would be needed? Any thoughts....

Hi Been 40 years since I owned a bike - Now living in Cornwall in the UK and eager to get back out on the road. I have a question and looking for a bit of advice. I want to buy a good Yamaha Vigaro 535 but worry that I'm to big for the bike. I'm 6' tall (1.86 m ) and weight about 17st (105 kg). Is there a difference in height between the 535 and 750. Your opinion will be appreciated Regards

Hey everybody, I'm a new rider and am looking to buy my first bike. I found a nice looking '93 Seca II (Divvy) for sale and was looking for some advice on this bike (and new rider bikes in general). 600cc was more than I was planning on getting for my first bike but this one kind of jumped out at me. What do you guys think about this as a first bike? I've read they are fairly reliable but is there anything I should ask or look for if I do go to check it out? Thanks in advance!

Hello folksJust coming back to Motorcycling after a 25yr layoff, bit of a mid life crisis maybe.Bought myself a 1998 UK FZ750, only 25,000 miles, taxed and MOT. It's a runner, all original apart from wheels and brakes which are from a later Yamaha - can get better rubber, which is no bad thing.Anyway, not scared about fettling it, but would be handy to get a Haynes manual or the like if these things exist. Or available as download from somewhere? Any advice? One last (stupid?) question. Back in the day when this was new, we used to be able to buy unleaded. Would this machine required unleaded back then, and hence an additive nowadays?Looking forward to your help etc.B…

  10. As you might guess from the huge clue in my ID I ride a YBR125. Don't laugh, please. It is all I can afford. I have had it since new & have only been knocked off it once, by a cage driver who back-ended me. No serious damage to the bike, or me but I was well p---ed off. I have had several bikes. I passed my test on a SR125 & rapidly graduated from a 2-stroke Honda MBX80 to a 1989 Enfield 350. A Royal Enfield Bullet was my old man's last bike. Both our bikes died of the same issue: Knackered big-end bearing: A tap-tap-tap noise only under load and fine bronze particles on the oil-filter when I investigated. I loved that bike and would have happily spent …

Hi everyone, I am a, as we speak, 24 yo motorcycle enthousiast. At the moment I own two oldtimer offroad motorcycles, a 89 dt125r and a 85 dt125lc. I prefer oldtimer motorcycles of this erra and really enjoy working on them. I've fully rebuild my two motorcycles from the ground up, the dt125lc was actually a hobby restauration project, I picked it up as an old wreck as a fix-her-upper. Anyway I am here to learn and to expand my knowledge.
