hello i just got a dt 80 mx thier are a few bits in boxes but not that bad,i will be restoring it,but plan on keeping it in the front room,had a dt 50 when i was 17 so felt only right i should buy this,thier was no v5 with this bike,so will have to sort that out

Hi All, I am newbie to this forum as well as motor-cycling. I have got a yamaha rxs100 off ebay for £500. It is in a running condition but there's rust over quite a few parts and the aluminium coat on the engine block has come off. Wondering what can be done about it. I have taken some pics but not sure how to attach it on here. Thanks

Hello. My names Chris. Im glad I found this place and hope to learn about my bike I ride a yamaha XVS Dragstar 125. Im not interested in getting more speed out of her as I like to relax while out on the road and be able to look around. What I am interested in though is customising her and learn about the mechanical side of things. Hopefully I will find what Im looking for here. Thanks

Hi all New to this forum and just posted elsewhere so I thought I'd put my gripe up on the New Members area too. I have a 1977(poss 78) Yamaha RS 125 DX. Headlamp bulbs last less than a mile before the high beam pop shortly followed by the dipped.My mechanic has checked all the wires and corrected some earthing errors but it continues to happen. He has as good as washed his hands of it now. He did sugest the regulator could be at fault but I cant find mention of it anywhere in Haynes or on the web. Even Yambits who are generally good for parts don't know where it is. They are insistent that it is not built into the rectifier. Does it even exist?? I assume it…

Hi Everyone. I have a question does anybody know of a mobile motorbike mechanic in the Northamptonshire area? I have recently acquired a fazer600 that has stood for four years and need the carbs taking off and cleaning to try and get running again. Im not confident enough to do this myself Cheers Lee

I've had several bikes over the years but my current and favourite is a 1996 XJ900 Diversion. Very comfortable and reliable, so far! I do all my own repairs and servicing but just occasionally I do come unstuck!

Just a quick hello. I'm new to the motorbiking game. Got myself a cheap Yamaha SR 125 1993 model off ebay, spent the last two half days getting rid of the rust and touching up bits of paint work, now it's looking pretty good. I don't have a photo as of yet but I might stick one up tomorrow if I can. Paid less than £400 for it. Looking to get out on to the road as soon as the rest of my gear comes, helmet for example. Hey guys, I'm Dan and 21 from S.Wales (UK). I have a Yamaha YBR 125 which I've had since last April or May. Have been riding now for about 2 years so this is the year I do my A2 test so I'll be doing that now hopefully before or after Easter.

evening guys my names brett and i picked up my new bike today a 56 plate r6 with 7k on the clock 1 owner from new, i managed to do a deal and swap my 56 plate mk2 focus st2 for the bike and 500 quid very happy. i got bored with the st even though it had 251 bhp and 348 lb ft torque, handled like a dream made me smile everytime i had chance to really enjoy driving it, this bike is anther to add to the collection as i already have a 89 zxr400 h1 with 16k from full history with it and only 3 owners and a bag of shite zx6r thats had more issues than an italian car haha

i want to know is there another engine i can use in this frame as i cannot find a yamaha dragstar xvs 125 or 250 engine can anyone help thanks look forward to hearing from any of you bike lovers

i have been doing up my yamaha dt125 for a while now come along way from a frame and box of bits all together But it wont start very often and when it does dies sound like missfire/backfire and wont start for ages i have replaced coil lead cdi (3rm20) spark plug compression is fine (fresh bore and piston) spark is good fuel seems fine im running out of ideas i have remmoved the carb and found a 240 jet installed so have ordered the 210 as im out of idears the loom was a mess and have had to repair it and wire the cdi up anyideas manythanks

im looking to put a 250 engine in my 125 frame do anyone know if there is anything i have to change to have this done
