So I've been a 4 stroker for most of my life. BUT ... I got my MC License on a '72 Yamaha R5. A few weeks ago a rode a restored '72 Honda CB 350 over to my old neighbors who owned the R5 back in my teens (that was a while ago). anyway to make a long story short he still had the R5 and after looking at the restoration of the Honda he aksed if I'd like it. Well -*&^ - YES ! So I'll be picking it up soon and needing some help as I said I know 4 strokers - but not so much on 2 strokers

Hi everybody. I'm here to introduce myself because when I signed up and gave my details on the 6th. Sept. 2012 I thought I had become a member of this site. Unfortunately Sacha and Mike 1949 jumped in claiming I wasn't entitled to the question I asked and that I had thrown a tantrum. I found this out on google when searching for information about XV1100 spoked wheels today. Well I don't know what a new member is supposed to say except what is in his/her profile. I live in Western Australia In a small town about 100km's south of perth. I have raced speedway solos at Claremont Speedway, now extinct, I've raced moto cross and enduro's and for nearly 50 years I have r…

Just introducing myself as I'm new to the forums. I'm Paul, 28 yr old software engineer from Northern Ireland. Loved bikes all my life, but as usual one thing or another popped up either financially or time wise which meant I have only recently managed to get my full bike test on the 28th dec 2012. I'm I big lover of the big custom bike, the XVS range catching my eye instantly. Purchased an XVS 650 last week and picking it up this Saturday, weather permitting (sods law we have snow moving in the day I'm due to pick it up and ride it home). Yamaha club forums really caught my eye as the members seem really helpful and have alot of knowledge, I'm no mechanic bu…

Hi, my name's Steve. I'm 17 years old and live in norfolk, originally from London. I'm currently a student studying maths and electronics. I ride a 2000 XJ600N, it's my first bike (unless you include mopeds) and here's a picture of my machine: Well, strictly speaking, that isn't what she looks like now, this is: I'm stripping her down for a new start with some fresh paint. Once the engine, wheels, forks and swingarm are of, she's down the paint shop. The frame and body work are going to be gloss black; the swing arm, hangers, triples and fork ends are going to be matt black; the wheels are going to be gun metal grey and the engine is going to be matt bla…

I am looking to buy a nearly new xj6 Diversion and have seen two that take my fancy. One was manufactured in 2009, registeted in 2011 and has done 2,250 miles; the other was made in 2010, registered the same year but done 7,500 miles. I know the model was updated in 2010 but I don't know by what. I would be grateful for any opinions from members. Thanks Matt

Hello all, Thought i would join the forum as i now have a yamaha 1300 midnight star. I have been after one cruizer for a long time and found this was the best one to get and got a great deal on it. I took my star out for the first time in a couple of weeks today. When i was on my way back she started kangarooing down the road and when i got it home it was running badly. It has fuel in the tank but not that much but the fuel light has not come on but does work as when i you turn the key it lights up and goes out. I am very worried as i hope there is nothing majorly wrong i will put some more fuel in soon and try it, but i was wondering if anyone would know any dif…
