Hey, I`m wanting to buy a bike off a guy at work its a 1989 fj 600.. needs a new fairing and battery 20,origmiles.. what should I pay? he wants 1,000 bucks?

Hi can anyone please give me some advise, on the way to work today I thought I was in 5th gear and dropped to 4th to get up a hill but I was allready in 4th and so had just dropped in to 3rd and it didnt like it. Now I have no power, the engine is running but wont do more than about 30mph and there is a kind of clicking or ticking coming from the engine which gets faster when I rev, PLEASE HELP !!!

hello from aus, name is wally & i just got 1980 dt 175 on the road & another getting built as a sort of chopper,anyways about the fast 175 question i took it to the drags tonight,& did well 4 a 175 32 years old. i got 17.75@ 67.82mph with a bad 60foot 59.84 mph in 200 metres. has anyone run theirs.u think its good 4 a 175?

Hello everyone, Im on here because i`m building from ground up a 1990 H reg dt50mx. I bought on ebay looked good.... then when i got it home and had closer look...oh dear!!. so stripped right down and re building with the aid of my 15yr old son who will then get it for 16th birthday. On passing C.B.T. By letting him help it`ll teach him basic mechanics, and pride in doing job propelly (hes pretty good at paint spraying) also that bikes cars etc... dont grow on tree at bottom of garden and will treat bike wth respect. intro into motorcycle world. Hello everyone, I'm Ralf. My current ride is a bobberish 2002? XVS650 Custom. Future plans for the XVS are : new bars, new signal lights and new brake light (pretty rad mods if you ask me) and then hopefully a tank swap. Before the 650 I had a XVS125.

Hi recently bought a 1985 DT 125 in fairly good condition for my son. No leaks, starts first time on kick. however the problem comes in when riding its not idling properly and when reaching high revs it seem to cutout. 2 questions really; Is it compression related? Is it carb related, if Carb, how does one get instructions on setting the carb appropriately. Help

Hi, new member Dave here just saying hello Recently aquired a 1970 AT1-B 125 (US import) to rebuild and will no doubt be asking for loads of advice and tips from you guys so thanks in advance When its finished (long way off yet)im hoping it will sit nicely along side my 77 FS1E-DX that ive owned for the last 34 years as it was my first bike and i never parted with it (im 50 now) Anyways now off to catch up on some of the goings on and look forward to chatting with you all....Cheers...Dave.

Hi everyone I'm new to this site and and hoping to pick up some mechanical and engineering advice. Has anyone tried to fit Fzr1000 usd forks and swingarm to a TDM 850. I have both. I love the TDM to ride as it's so comfortable and the torquey engine is superb the only thing wrong is it is let down by the soft handling. The FZR is ok but makes my back ache (i'm past my sell by date) so I thought I would swap over the sporty parts from FZR to TDM. Any ideas welcome, apart from selling the TDM. Cheers

Hi, Have just got a 175C (white tank/red stripe), need some help please, Does anyone know if an exhaust P/N 437-14753-02-00 will fit the above bike? Some people say yes others say it will only fit the 175A or B models - I thought basically all three were the same? Thanks in advance.

Hello All, I'm a new member looking for some help on 1973 dt 125 not charging the battery, I have a wiring diagram and I'm trying to check the windings from the stater circuit. The diagram shows a green,white and black wire from the stater to the voltage regulator. The black wire is ground, I measured 500k ohms between white wire and black wire. The same between the green wire and black wire. I also tried to measure the voltage from the green and white wire while the bike was running. The voltage varies with rpm but nothing over .25 volts ac. Everything works well when the battery is fully charged but I have to charge the battery with an external battery…

Can anyone tell me a good source on the internet to buy 1980-84 rs125 parts, i need wheels, front forks, fuel tank and seat. Then my bike will be fully restored, its a BI**H not being able to finish it right now, so help would be very much appreciated. thank you

Hey guys, wanted to introduce myself, im Danijel (Daniel[J is silent]). Anyway, im fairly new to dirtbikes, i had a 1990 Honda XR100R, loved that thing, i learned to ride on it. Unfortunately a couple months ago i let a friend borrow it while i was gone for a weekend, i cam back and it was in pieces, and burnt.. He said the air filter contacted the muffler, caught fire, and the whole bike went up. There was nothing salvageable or worth repairing.. Well a few days ago i traded a friend for his old dirtbike. Hi everyone. Pretty much as the title says. I had one of these as a field bike some 30+ years ago and after watching a few Youtube vids decided it was time to get another one ! My normal ride is sports bikes + a Buell Lightning but so far having done about a tank full of short trips I'm loving the DT. What potholes in the road? I believe it's a 1980 model first registered in the UK in 2011 and judging by the number plate Redrose have been involved at some point. My first run out was a bit of a mare - the bike stopped after a mile, started after 2 or 3 kicks, then stopped 1/2 a mile later and that routine continued until I got home. Hi All, Nice to be here. I did my CBT last year in October then promptly failed my mod 1 on a 650cc by putting my foot down on the u-turn. Since then I sat out the worst of the weather I just picked up a 2009 WR 125X on ebay, it's getting delivered on Wednesday So I'm going to spend a few months having a bit of fun, getting a load of slow riding practice before going for the DAS and getting a bigger bike.
