hi I'm thinking about getting a yz125 but i want to make it road legal if anyone can give me some advice about what i need and what to do thx

Im getting a full dep system for my 94 dtr 125 and i want to upgrade my main jet to aid performance,should i go for a 250 or a 260 main jet??? Also where can i order one from??? could someone please post a link of a website where i can order one,ive looked but cant find one?? Thanks syks

Hello My bikes MOT is due next month, its a '98 DTR and when i first got it i removed the indicators and mirrors (Thought i would remove them rather than them getting smashed off whilst offroading ). What are the rules when it comes to the MOT, i don't think the mirrors matter but on the indicator front, obviously the switch is still there as are the indicator lights on the dials, will it fail as a result? I have been told i need to remove the switch and paint/tape over the indicator warning lights on the dials for it to pass....is this correct??? Any help/advise/sites to visit for info would be appreciated Cheers

I am feeling like a right numpty at the mo! Just dropped my XT125X and landed in a heap on the floor. Thankfully nothing more than a broken brake lever!! Can anyone tell me where to get one from? I don't want to go to Yamaha as i think they may rip me off! Also thinking of getting some front and rear crash bobbins and some hand guards (now my grip is ripped) Where can I get some from that'll fit ?? Any suggestions? It's a 2008 model. Lorraine x

hello there. im brand new to this forum and was just wondering what is the best engine oil and gearoil and also 2 stroke oil to use with my yz125 99 model just had full engine rebuild if that would make a difference??? and also what ratio do you guys mix your 2 stroke any help very much appreciated thanks, john

Hi, Have refitted the actual barrell, but wires are different colours on the barrll than those which come off the loom and have obviously been shorted (hot wired) by those that stole it! I have 6 wires from the barrel. Red, Brown, black, Blue/Red stripe, Blue, as well as a seperate black and white stripe. From the loom, I have red, brown, black, blue /yellow stripe, blue/ black stripe, dark green, and (browny black?!) Some seem obvious, and I have got to the point where I can here the power valve opening, so there is power, but it wont start as I obviously have not comp[leted the circuit. I have recently bourght a DTR SM (Super Moto) & have just run it in. I have just had a full DEP system fitted which has made a bit of a difference power wise but i just can't get enough. Has anyone out there got any ideas of what else i can do to it without buggering it up. Cheers.

Hi, Just thought i would pop in and look around. Im known online as Ghostbiker and right now i have an XJR 1200 trike and a member of the XJR Owners club. Affter messing about with my trike for 2 years now im thinking of getting back to 2 wheels, not as easy as it sounds due to problems with hip and back. But i had a TDM 850 back a while and realy liked it, legs were not cramped up like on my old RF900 or ZX10 and a lot more seat room than the blade. I have recently bought some stainless hoses and banjo fittings for my XT600E, but need to buy the stainless banjo bolts. What pitch size/thread are the standard bolts? Its an 06 registered, but in reality an 03/04 version. Cheers Dave

Hey all, just picked up a 1975 dt100 for cheap off craigslist, not running. The wiring harness has seen better days. I am trying to figure out exactly how the points ignition system works, and according to the wiring diagram, i should be able to put a jumper from the black wire coming from the condenser directly to the input on the coil and make a spark. This does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any tips? I've tested the magneto with my tongue, it's definitely giving off some voltage, i can check with a multimeter later... Anyway, would this be a sign of a bad coil? I tried a different coild from another bike, no spark either. Thanks for any help, -Ian

My IT 465 has now officially worn its second set of shifter forks. Started with 2 bikes neither of which would shift to 3rd. Rebuilt better of the two and found the shifter fork engaging 3rd severly worn in both cases. Also, splined spacer washer between gears torn apart on same gear shaft. Everything else in the tranny was pristine in both cases. I rode the rebuilt bike for a season and had no issue. It shifted well, but I always clutch every shift. Most recently I let a buddy ride the bike and 3rd is blow again. He's ridden & owned lots of KDX and YZ bikes. I know he never clutches on shifts. He's agressive, but not stupid. Hi, What USA model Yamaha's chain & sprockets does the Canadian DT200L use? It's a 4 bolt pattern on the rear sprocket. Thanks, Jeff

I've been told that the Headlight glass of a XT600 is exactly the same as the one in the TTR600. Can anyone confirm this please ?

Hello I am picking up my new bike tonight, its been bought as a non runner, the guy has said it run really well 6 months ago but its now been in storage for 6 months.... he said some new petrol and a clean of the spark plug will do the trick. Please help me as I would like to now if I should do anything else to the bike if its been standing for that long???? or should I look out for anything else ?? Look forward to anybodies reply. Hi just wondering if anybody can help? My son was recently given a dt125r, i think its a mid 1990's model, to use as a field bike. When we got it the carb was missing and the wiring was a mess!!. I managed to rewire it and i and i bought a secondhand carb, which fitted fine, but when we try to kick start it, all it does is back fire?. The carb has been stripped and cleaned. It has a good spark, fresh petrol, new plug, its getting petrol to the carb and to the engine and it has good compression. Am i overlooking something simple?. As its a been 20 years since i last messed with a 2 stroke. Also its the model with electronic ignition. Why it wont start??
