Hi, Can anyone confirm for me if the TTR125 & Xt125R/X share teh same engine? I have been led to beleive this but not by a reliable source. They certainly look the same... but we all know that can be deceiving. Also 2 last pleas 1) can anyone help me get hold of a wiring diagram for an XT125R and 2) does anyone know of a way to up the power slightly I am not a learner rider, I just bought it as a cheap commuter, but really it has naff all power. (the headlight is uselesss as well! (even with an uprated halaogen lamp fitted) Thanks in advance XTDan

Anyone worked on these? They seem pretty simple. A neighbor has one pretty cheap and I may pick it up to have a 2nd. But, the guy says the spark isn't getting any current and is probably a wiring thing. Are coils for these pretty easy to find? I am thinking it could be that or the condenser. I am going to look around but I thought I would go ahead and throw a post up... I did some searches and most of the posts had dead ends.... http://images.craigslist.org/0101060102050...1b61a00ff75.jpg Looks like a dt100? I feel an addiction coming on....

I have a 79' model DT175 which I'm getting ready for registration. The oil light (2 stroke tank under side cover)is on all the time. I have pulled out the switch and checked the operation of the contacts which seem OK. The switch has 3 wires going to it ( I could not work out why it needed 3 wires?) and on closer inspection I found that there is a diode inside a resin type of plug in the top of the switches rubber top. I checked the diode and it seems OK. ( I'm an Electrician) When I disconnect the diode the switch works OK. I would like to know what the diodes purpose in life is?? Why would you need a diode across what should be a simple switch?? Thanks Mark

I have a Yamaha DT50R 2007, I've removed most of the Restrictions but I'm still having trouble with the electronically restricted part, when I get up to 8000RPM the engine starts choking, a friend of mine has fixed his bike (he has the same model) so I know this is possible. (Someone did it for him so he cant tell me). I'm pretty sure the unit is called a CDI. Any ideas? Don't tell me to buy a larger bike, I'm only 15 so this is the best I can get, (Legally that is, or sort of ) I've changed the sprocket to get more speed out of it, but I'd still love to get rid of the electronic restriction. While I'm at it, can someone confirm the size of jet I should …

Hi everyone, need help please. Have a 83 TT600K that wants to run only when it has a mind to. Have been having trouble getting consistant spark at the plug. Right now I have no spark at all. Have replaced the pickup coils at the flywheel, previous owner had cobbled the mounting in the case half, had no clue where the gap was set and timing, could see where the flywheel had been hitting the magnetic tits so replaced with a ebay part that does test good as far as manual specs. Have also replaced CDI box with another ebay part, bike has not run yet with the replacement box since no spark. Do have approx 3-4 volts coming out of the orange lead to the coil when kicking ov…

Can some one give me an idea on fuel consumption for the tt600 belgada in touring mode. I plan to sit on around 100 to 110km/h and am at present running 16/48 sprockets. I have a set of 15/42 sprockets to go on it. Bike is in stock trim. I know that I will have to do my own test but some idea on what to expect would be great. Also any suggestions on sprocket gearing wouldnt go astray. Thanks Ernie.
