Hi, I've got a dt 125 which I'm looking to sell, the trouble is I dont know what model it is. It was sold to me as a 2003 model by a dealer, the logbook say's its an LC but its air-cooled, I think its a grey import as the clocks are in kms, it was brought into this country from s/ireland, the chassis number starts 3TT/. Any further info on this would be helpfull also how much should i expect to get for it, its done 2300km and is in exellent condition.

Now, I can tell I will have a lot of questions about this bike in the future, but for now, I was wondering: 1) Have any of y'all ever figured out a way to plumb in a valve or quick-disconnect/seal or some other way to keep gas from pouring everywhere when you take the tank off?? The little hose under there that you have to disconnect every time is good at shooting it right at your crotch. 2) I hear 2-strokes are iffy on the freeway--that long-distance ridin can wear 'em out. I have a well used 1975 yamaha dt400b. im having problems with geting a spark. i am getting 8-8.6 volts at each point in the wiring. i was wondering if any one had any similiar problems or how many volts are needed... ' Thanx

Hi guys, Can anyone guide me with what 'ROAD' tyres to use on my DT125 52 plate. This Bike is for my son to learn on ( Tall Bloke), and I would prefer him to be on road tyres. The only road tyres I can find are from Heidenau, these are fine but the front and rear pattern treads are completely different. Thanks in advance for any help. Barry

would a headlight off a 80s tenere 600 fit onto xt 550 a reg ?. also would the rear guard fit. anyone know of parts/ breakers for xts in west mids much appreciated..

Help ive got my 1st xt 550 on a plate. It has no lights front or rear.all the wiring is there, i need headlight, rear/ brake light, and no plate. whats the cheapest option and easiest to fit. Im crap with lectrics...any help on where i can get cheap parts much appreciated...

bought it for cheap and just rebuilt 4th gear. now it runs like a fine machine. the only thing is my unfamiliarity with the manual compression release and hot start. seems it's a fine line between pulling in the compression release lever too far and it not starting and letting it out too much and having too much compression to kick it over. anybody have any tips on how to best start this bike cold and also once you've been riding awhile? it's going to be a blast once i figure this out.

Hi, I don't know if anyone can help. I have an imported DT, which I need to register. I have very little paperwork, but this is a great 20 year old unused bike... I'd love to get it on the road but now realise that the whole thing is probably going to be very complicated! has anyone had to do something similar? Cheers!

i have a 2002 yz 250 had it since brand new rebuilt top end a few times,put a pipe and reeds in it,, i have a noise happpening only when im in neutral,when the clutch is engaged in 1st or 2nd rev bike up no noise wondering if anyone has experienced this ? when bike is in neutral with clutch out it is making a wineing/grinding noise. any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, Im new to the forum having just picked up my italian import TDR today. Not the worlds biggest, best, or fastest bike i know, but it suits me. The problem i have is that it runs when you put a brand new spark plug in then after a short while it cuts out and will not go again. This is what the previous owner told me anyway, i haven't had a chance to test it yet. I have taken the carb off to clean it but can't make head or tail of it. I could just put it back together but would kinda rather have a clue why it goes together in the way it does, so what i need is a diagram or some kind of advice on the delorto carb which was made for this bike? Also i could do with a wir…
