Hello everyone. So i just picked up a 1975 dt175 for my wife to cruse around on. It worked great when i picked it up a few days ago. Took it around the neighborhood a few times since then and was really impressed with how it ran. The PO had some crappy turn signals on it that looked horrible, so i removed them. The battery was not holding a charge, so i had the battery out sitting in my truck so i could get the replacement. Hi, anyone know if wheels from a WR450 will fit on a XT600??? I've got a chance of a set of Talon wheels from a 2004 WR450 and was wondering if they will fit a 2003 XT600e. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I bought a 2001 TTR250 from my Boss, it's hardly been ridden and I know it's been well taken care of. One day I noticed a gas smell and then found a long crack along the right side of the tank. I had a plastic welder try to fix it but it hasn't worked. Anyone have any ideas? The plastic welder maintains that it's a low grade batch of plastic. Thanks Greg

I've always wanted to get into off-roading but just wasn't sure where to start. I was talking with a few people that suggested a WR250F was a good starter, which is also road registrable. It fits nicely under the 33BHP restriction and I think it's a good step up from my 125. I've also been told they have a very reliable engine and pretty easy to maintain, anyone currently owning or have owned one can confirm that? The one thing I'm worried about is the seat height. It's ~6 inches taller than my XT and I'm currently having to tip-toe slightly. I don't know how expensive it would be to lower a WR250F, if I were to get one.

Hi all, iv been helping my uncle today- trying to get his bike ready for the MOT......and here is where the problem is.....The previous owner has cut the rear brake light off leaving just about 3 or 4 inches of wire sticking out the the rear brake set up- but we cant find the other end. If the person just cut the wire and left one end logic would say that the other end is in there somewhere but we cant find the other bloody end! Any ideas where it might have been tucked away or more to the point where does the wire go would be of great help! i checked my XT in the hope that it is a similar setup but from the rear brake it just seams to join into the main wiring loo…

I have just purchased a 57 plate dtr 125 se,the previous has done the rev limiter mod by earthing the correct wire to the frame,he claims to have put a standard exhaust on the bike from an 03 model which he says are de- restricted.i can only Manage to get 60 mph from the bike,is this all i should expect to get.

I have a DT250 that has a dodgy ignition switch. I can't find one that matches exactly, mine has ten wires but colours are hard to match. Engine no is 512-100278 and chassis is 512-001005. Does anyone know where I can check these numbers and get an ignition switch please? The colours don't quite match up on the bike between the 2 ignition switch plugs anyway! Thanks

So i recently bought my dt 250 and it was running great for a few days and then it died, I finally got it started up the other day and it wont go past 4k rpms when im driving it. ive tried everything i can think of with the carb and i can get it running good for about 10 minutes. it idles just fine just not when driving it? it leaks from the head gasket? idk if maybe a vacuum leak or something would be causing my problem.

hey. is it possible to fit a digital dash to the yamaha dt 125r? if so which would work? if a digital one wont work is there any others that will fit the bike and work as i would like to be able to check the speed easier as the current one can be hard to read.

Like the title says, I cannot find a similar enduro like mine in the picture. I'm almost positive it's a DT100 but thats it. I have not seen another one like it. If someone can tell me the year and anything else about it that'd be great.

My kick start assembly keeps coming loose, I think the clip isn't staying in the groove to engage the gear. I have a manual, and it states the clip is supposed to seat in the groove in the case. Well the picture is very dark and hard to see, can some one help me find out which grove it's supposed to stay in so I know I'm installing it correctly. The grove I have been using is to the right of the gear, there is another one to the upper left of the gear where the stop for the lever is. If some one can please help I would appreciate it a lot. would anyone happen to know the power and weight (ideally power to weight, so i don't have to do the math my self )of the wrf 250 and 426 please? The ones towards the start of 2000's like '01 '02 models. The reason i am asking is that i am keeping an eye out for a new bike and a few wrf's have come up, unfortunately i'm on a A2 license so have limits to power and power to weight. i Think the 250 would not need restriction but pretty certain the 426 would- ideally looking for exact figures so i can see how far each is from the limit- this will help a lot in trying to choose or even what to consider. thinking of getting a dt for my first bike as they look the most fun. what model would people recommend? any tips? views on the bike would be helpful. thanks

My bike is a European import 2001 model , the back end is considerably higher than for example my cousins dtr and the seat a lot longer , It looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the lower AMD shorter versions , the smaller ones look like pit bikes with a sort of chopper look , but with slightly less angled forks , or Atleast similar to a pit bike I once owned , I'm not complaining I like it how it is but just wandered if anybody could shed some light on the issue

Hello, I am new here. I just purchased a 1979 DT175 for my son. We got the bike running and it runs rather well. We are now trying to do the electrical; this is where I lack knowledge. We want headlights, tail light and directional. I got a new 6v battery but I am not sure where to start. It appears all the wiring is there (on the bike) but not sure what to do next… can anyone help by providing a wire diagram and identification on which wire goes where… Many thanks in advance

Has anyone used the Mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle oil in the xt350? I was wondering how it worked with the clutch? I have used it in my KLR without any problems at all. Anyone have any exp with it? They call it V twin 20/50 thanks

Hi everyone I have just bought what I think is a Dt 125 mx frame number begins 2a8 not sure what year it is tho It has no speedo or rev counter and i was wondering if the Dt175 mx ones are the same parts as they seem more readily available Any help greatly appreciated
