Hello everyone, i have a 2006 DT125X supermoto with the spoked wheels.. Does anybody know of any other wheels that would fit this bike? i've been told that TDR wheels fit them but you need the forks, caliper, caliper carrier and different bearings and speedo cable/drive and wheel spacers? Does anybody have more information on this? any help is much appreciated!

Hi, I've bought DT 125 x wheels for my DT 125 R, struggling to find a pair of high performance tyres, do they need to be a matching pair? Also can i just swap the brake disc and bolt the new wheels on? From what I'm aware i can't use the speedo or side stand. Thanks

Hi there, I am brand new to this forum and could really use you fellas help. After wanting a DT 175 MX since I was an 11 year old boy growing up in Leeds, England (my 18 year old neighbor had one back in 1979). I finally found one a few miles up the road from where I now live in Atlanta, USA. Bike is not sparking from plug cap or ht lead. I pulled the ignition cover only to find the flywheel compartment one third full of two stroke oil. Is this usually the case with a DT that's been sat for 30 years? Bike had been stored in a covered shed. It was very dusty from storage. It does have some surface rust that wipes off easily with fine wire wool. Looks like the carb is…

Hi My son has an xt125r 2006 that we bought and re-built pre-summer and its now going great through the summer. It has fitted Pirelli Scorpions which are fairly worn and I am going to change them for the winter. I am considering fitting road tyres as with winter coming want him to have more wet / cold road grip. He has aspirations for green lanes but in reality over 99% of use with be road. So Question is what ones ? or should we go for a mix use tyre? all recommendations welcome.....

This thread is a chronicle of the things I did to de-restrict my fully restricted DT125R, If you are on 'L' plates this is something you can do after you pass your full bike test and not before. Well stage one has been sorted, I took off the exhaust and found one of those tube within a tube things in there so out came the dremel again, heres some before and afters, the last pic shows just how severe this thing is compared to the one i found in my DT175MX Comparison with the restriction i removed from my DT175MX

Hey all I'm new here first post I have a 1996 dt125r payed 1000 for it yesterday got 2 miles from my house after picking it up and it just cut out and would not start back up would just make a loud pop from the pipe. How ever I have managed to have a look on a lot of forums and they all say different things I have solved the problem with a ten minute job (after a whole day scratching my head) taking things part. Basically the wire that goes in to your magneto take that off give it a good clean (with brush or some emery paper) and that was all it took hope this helps any one in the same boat as me also I silliconed the gasket of the magneto houseing as it was horribl…

This has probably been done to death on here, but I am pulling my hair out. I have a 2008 XT125X with OIL insp warning up on the dash. It is all running fine with new oil and a recent strip and clean of pretty much everything, and is now ready to put back on the road. how do I clear the message. there are NO "mode" or "set" buttons to push or hold, there is no"blue button" as have been mentioned in the past. Please Help! Thanks in advance. DR.

Bike died, just got it back from Padgetts after they said it was the ignition pickup and said the part would cost £500. Poor student, was hoping to use the bike for Uni but cant afford that price. Any ideas where i can get this part? Ive looked on ebay and there doesnt seem to be anything available. Looks like I may have to sell the bike as is. Any help appreciated.

Hello there. I'm a car guy and lately I started getting into bikes also. So I decided to get on getting a Yamaha DT175 from a friend. My buddy is going to sell me it for a nice price but what I don't know is the model of it neither he does. I mean is it a DT175MX or any other type? What year is it? I need help in figuring out what it has. Its got a rear monoshock suspension and has a red color (incase that might help identify what it is). My friend only knows that its a 1970's bike. Also can someone please explain what is CDI and point? what systems are they? and how do I know which of the both does the bike have. Thanks in advance

Hi all, Have been looking around for a few bits to buy once the DT is built, seen and heard a lot about these but wondering if anyone has had first hand experience with them.. apparently it allows you to keep the throttle held open and change up through the gears.. I would like some more info because they're over £200 and if it don't work as promised then its a lot down the tube.. This is the only place I can find them: https://www.cisport.co.uk/Product-Detail_/pg%5Fbp%5Fcle%5Fdep/CDASC23B Thanks

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of how I could make the seat on my DT more like a YZ seat I.e. a flat seat rather than dipped in the middle..I just want to see how it looks, probably won't look right but has to be done now I've got it in my head... Thanks

I plan to buy a DT50 but it doesn't come with a battery. The owner said it'll run without the battery, but I've read elsewhere that I shouldn't, as this will burn out the headlight and taillight bulbs. Is this an easy thing to pop in or will I have to cut into the wiring to be able to have a battery on this bike? Thanks in advance!

First project out of my garage for Son #1, DT125R. Now son #2 has been rummaging through my shed and the leftovers of the first bike project, and come up with: a complete rolling frame DT125LC Mk1 - all there minus engine, carb, exhaust, radiator. almost a complete DT125R minus frame. Should I rebuild & fit the later engine, forks, yokes, wheel, disc brake etc into the Mk1 and have a kind of Evo? Source a Mk1 engine and rebuild the bike to keep it original? Source a DTR frame and rebuild the later bike...? Anyone got experience of updating a Mk1 and thoughts? Blinkin' kids and their bikes...looks like my projects are on hold again

Hi - new here so apologies for probably repeating an old topic.... Just bought my son a DT in pieces to use as a field bike. Having put it back together, the wiring loom has clearly been modified/butchered and the bike must have been running without a battery...assuming it was running previously. Having connected the obvious items such as magneto outputs to cdi, cdi to coil and rectifier to cdi, the engine will generate a spark but not multiple sparks. The wiring diagram I've found for this model is short of detail so not much help.. I'm an engineer in the motor racing industry so should be able to work this out eventually, but any quick answers from experienc…
