Hi TTR600 owners. Anybody know where I can pick up a set of SuperMoto wheels for my TTR600, I have it fully kitted with knoblers @ the moment for green laneing etc, it rides ok on the roads but a little twitchy if I lay it down at the corners, so I thought if I could have a different set of wheels with Moto tyres on, then I could use them when on road rides. Any help guys & gals would be appreciated. Yam 4ever

What other 21" front wheels will fit my 94' XT225 forks. It has single disk brake. I find for sale several YZ front wheels, but cannot find their hub width, or axle diameter. My hub is cracked. Thanks for any advise. Reffixer.

hey guys i'm new and i'd like some info about my bike!! It's a 2003 Yamaha DT125R with fresco end pipe, it's top speed varys on the wind direction!! 70-77mph back wind in 6th gear or 65mph in 5th gear @10,000 rpm cos when i change to 6th the revs die!! above all it's a fun bike and i'm reluctant to sell it when i pass my test?!! Plus a friend of mine has a 84 or 86 Honda MTX125 Road conversion (honda orange+blue seat) and on acceleration my DTr is a fraction quicker(electronic power valve?) but on top speed the MTX125 eats me alive with only 5 gears!!! lol

Assisted my Mechanical Engineer friend last night with dialing in the Egro's on his new XT225. This is the 1st time this guy is getting back on a bike after a 20 year hiatus from 'em when he lost the use of his left arm in an MX accident. Interesting how we actually got the stock controls to work without too much modification ....... Just gotta figure out how to squeeze in the turn signal switchgear in there somewhere. Eventually my mate wants to design a whole new complete switchgear cluster outta aluminum billet....which the brake reservoir will bolt directly to.....should have a nice clean appearance when he's done

i know about the proboards one but i'm looking for the yamaha backed one - have they abandonded it and shut it down - i know what the address was and i've tried it from another site's link, but it seems to have gone - i know it's 10 years since they made them but it seems a shame - there are still a lot of them out here

Has anyone dared to red line the bike in top gear? Never mind the manufacturers stats, lets have it from the people who know ! I know what mine can do but i'd like to hear your stories, just as a matter of interest. Me, i tested the bike with all standard factory equipment to start with and then changed things. Any tune up tips to enhance performance of the bike or any reliability/ safety mods would be gratefully received by me and i'm sure every other XT runner, barring the obvious like sprocket changes. You know what i mean! I'll start it off by recommending you ditch the standard exhaust can and strap a Micron on, for such a simple procedure, the difference is quite s…

Hi all, I'm trying to get my 1978 DT175 started. I finally got the tank cleaned out and filled it with gas and now I'm trying to start the sucker with the kickstarter. I pulled the choke and verified the fuel line was open and not clogged. I kicked the hell out of it to no avail. It actually did make a brief putter (.5 seconds) like it was starting up but then quickly died. The bike has been sitting for a year is what the previous owner told me. The fuel lines aren't clogged, the clutch appears to be operating smoothly, which makes me think it may be that my spark plug isn't firing. I checked the plug and the connection to it and they both appear clean, so now…

Hi Finally getting down to doing some bits on the XT350 to tidy it up and get ready for an MOT. Got a question regarding plastics. Mine has the original plastics on it but they are in a bad way. Because the bike is a California inport and seems to have spent a good deal of time sat out in the sun the plastics had suffered badly. What I want to know is this. How do I bring them back? Can I revive them? They seem to have a 1mm thick coat of powdery degraded plastic. Just like what you get on those white plastic tables you leave out in the garden all year round. You can scratch it off fairly easily with a finger nail but when you do this it still don't look so c…

hi, have just picked up a dt125lc mk1, bit scabby, has been used for off road only. no lights or any speedos, just the bike, there is no oil tank, so i was wondering if the bloke who had it before did a premix, then put it in the petrol tank,if so should i use 2 stroke engine oil? and what would the mix be roughly. cheers dave
