hi every one,this is my first post,just about to turn 40 and decided to do something ive been meaning to do for ages- take my bike test. booked in early doors on the 17th april, just bought my trusty steed 1990 fzr1000 exup for £1200.obviously cant ride legally yet so took it to a local airfield and oodalally the only thing missing is the wings-this thing goes like stink.i must admit a great feeling a mixture of excitement adrenalin and nerves,but i think i will take my cousins advice who has had sport bikes all his life-take a month to get used to the bike-ride out on my own and dont try and keep up with anyone until i get to know the bike. will keep u posted on how the …

question for all you guys out there , ok i brought a r6 strait outa the show room . loved it to bits then about 2 months of owning it i was knocked of ( gutted ). so i managed to get al the parts and rebuild it myself , as it was only plastics and tank , lights so on . got it back to near enuf mint apart from the swing arm had a scuff but i got a new 1 and never fitted it as the scuff was to minor for such a big job, then ...... i dropped my bike in my garage only bent the peg and scuffed the tail unit . so i got a new tail unit but it has some very lightn scratches on the under tray . now im thinkin oh its got this mark that mark so on. am i being 2 fu…

hi im new to sports bikes and i bought my r6 and it is lovley to drive but when you hold it at 3000 rpm like going round a round a bout or filtering through traffic it jerks alot also it sometimes holds back till 8000 rpm i have a sports can on it do i have to get the carbs balanced to this exhaust or would it be the jets any help please thanks

another noob question here guys forgive me.... so its come time for me to mod the bike out a bit and the first thing i wasnt to change is my exhaust... mainly cuz i dont like how the stock exhaust sounds..... aside from the added power gain i was wondering.... if i just get a slip on exhaust WITHOUT headers will taht alone change the sounds drastically.... or do i need to buy the full system to get a better sound or will the sound not change at all thanks in advance

Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2004 V Star 650. The bike has about 150 miles on it and i have noticed that at 55 mph no matter how much throttle i give it it just won't go any faster. I have tried this in 4th and 5th gear and it is exactly the same. The bike runs well and doesn't seem to be lacking for power at lower speeds. Is there some sort of factory speed limiter or something that could be causing this? Thanks in advance for the info.

So I just finished helping my buddy change his oil in his r6... we had a blast pretending we knew what we were doing... confession: we took off the wrong side when we got started LOL anyways we drained the oil out and let is sit for a couple minutes to get every last drop... we bolted her back up and put 2 new quarts of oil in... now after we started her up no problems we decided to go for a test drive.... upon doing so i come to find out that his oil light came on for a few moments and then cut off.... we parked got something to eat and theorized why taht could be... we started her back up again no problems no light nothing.... we are riding back to his house and low…

Hello all, Does anyone have any experience with soft panniers (or hard) for my YBR 125? Price and where to order (I live in France, but often order on the net). A major concern is protecting the soft tissue from the hot pipe. I have seen instructions for crafting an aluminium support on a Honda Varadero 125 forum which seemed to work well in that regard. Any advice would be very much appreciated, and thank you. Douglas

Hello guys My little brother has an 87 FZ600 and I took it apart over the winter to fix it up a bit. What would be the pilot screw settings for these carburetors? The manual says either "preset" or "2.5 turns out" depending on which model. I'm not sure which model it is. When I removed the screws from each carb, I documented the settings but they can't be right. They were 3,2.5,4 and 5 turns out.The bike had very stumbled low speed acceleration , but speed up a bit and it takes off like a rocket. What do you guys think I should set the pilot screws at? Hi, i'm olny 17 and have got myself a thundercat (restricted). its been going fine but just need some general advice and help from everyone out there. firstly my rear tyre down to the canvas!! their Dunlop sportmax's which have been ok as grip and feel go but as summer arives want some stickier tyre, can anyone recomend some and where to get them, i know busters motorcycle accesories do stuuf very cheap, tyres included. many thanks and any advice or tips for a newbie will be greatly welcomed. alex
