i just bought a 1981 xs400 from a friend she said it ran and it did for a few test rides while i adjusted myself to riding it in the parking lot at my college ( i goto an automotive school so i was having fun with it) i decided to take it home and park it and it decided it wasnt going to start i jumped it using a friends truck. so i figured while it was running id get it home its only 3 miles or so. the bike made it 3/4 the way and died out right wouldnt start. we loaded it in the truck and got it home i took the battery in to charge it and make sure it was good its charged the bike turns over but wont start and now the lights both headlight tail lights and the dash light…

hi i do not know what kind of octane rated fuel to be used in my FJR 1300 2007 model bike ? usually i had seen sticker over tank on my zx14 to use 97 + octane , ON FJR1300 there is none . Hope this fjr 1300 2007 model has knock sensors ? to give the benefit of 97 octane fuel ? the only change i noticed on shifting to higher octane is the IDLING rpm has dropped ? any info please ?

hi , whats the ORIGINAL AIR FILTERS type OIL or DRY type in FJR 1300 2007 MODEL? SOME CARS THEY DO NOT RECOMEND oiled type air filters based on air velocity measuring devices like MAF or MAP , do this FJR 1300 2007 model have any problem with oiled type performance air filters ? any info please .

HI friends any feed back on dynojet power commander USB3 ? CAN I GO FOR THAT? does it only help in smoothening the power curve ? any additional advan tages with it ?

Just wanted to introduce myself, im Martin form Ipswich Suffolk, recently bought my 2007 R6 over the moon with it i love it to bits. Always been into cars mainly, currently owning a Mitsubishi Evo 8 but honestly not even in the same league as the bike Everyone seems so dam friendly on the bikes to!! Hi everyone, I'm currently thinking of getting another bike to use as more of an everyday toy so the NC30 can sit and wait for super sunny days and track outings. Anyway, i'm thinking of getting an early R1... so would appreciate peoples thoughts on them. What things should i look out for other than the usual crash damage and wear and tear? What are they like with a pillion? It needs to be useable for the odd ride-out with the girlfriend on the back... Are there an reliability issues i need to think about? Thanks for your help! Craig.

Ok, im new to biking to please bare with me. I have a 2004 R6 and was wondering how easy and if at all i can adjust the position of my clutch lever. My brake lever has a 1-5 dial on it but the clutch side does not. I have smallish hands and find im getting pains in the back of my hand after lots of clutch work and wondered if i can adjust the lever so my hand is not at full stretch? TIA

Hi everyone, I just got this bike from some old farmer out in the country. Needs a little bit if work to the ignition system but otherwise it's in excellent condition. I've run into a snag with the repairs, I cannot find a socket that will fit the spark plugs. I've tried a 5/8" spark plug socket, a 13mm and 14mm, none of them fit. Are there any other fazer owners here? Any tips would be appreciated.

hi, i have got an RXS100 and when it is running i cant get neutral no matter what i try, but if i turn it off, it will click into neutral straight away. any ideas???

Hey. I have just bought a 95' xjr400, all was ok but the other day one of the cylinders seemed to be cutting in and out, that has now stopped, but today my friend was following behind and he said there was a real stink of burning oil and alot of blue smoke. Befor I bought the bike it had basacily been sitting for a year and a half, iv had it just over a week now. What do you lot think could be wrong, maby a a stuck or broken piston ring? Hello everyone, I'd like to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Rob and I currently reside in New Haven Connecticut, approximately 10 minutes from the Yale University campus. Like I mentioned in the title of this thread, I own a 1991 Yamaha FZR1000 that is in beautiful condition. Each year I store it over the winter months in my garage and this year I decided to insulate all of the pipes that run through the garage thus making the temps drop to around 20 degrees. When I put the bike away last this past November, the clutch was working fine. Now it doesnt work at all. The handle has no resistance at all when I squeeze it. I have spoken to a mechanic at my Yamaha…

Hi all Just got my 2004 R6 and love it already. Wondered if someone could give me some advise. I want to fit crash bungs to it. Do i have to cut the fairing or can you guys recommend a make that fits without cutting. Also i take i have to remove a small panel of the fairing on the right hand side? Also any suggestions where to get reasonable priced single seat cowel for the 2004 model? Thanks for any info Rich

hi friends any feed back on exhaust mods for FJR1300 ? I wanted to modify exhuast with mild deeper bass effect but not to an extent of irritating say about 3-4 decibels more than standard .any suggestions ?
