Hi, I have an R6. It has 7,000 miles on and I expect it still has the original Chain & sprockets. I have an option to buy a used chain & sprocket set for £45. It has apparently had less than 100 miles of use as the bike was converted to a race bike straight away. It comes with a chain, stock rear sprocket, 15T front sprocket, and new chain link. Is that a good price? Should I bother replacing mine?

Free bike parking for motorcyclists could be scrapped nationally because information needed to oppose the move has been kept from riders, according to campaigners. Under law people have six months to object to new parking charges for motorcycles becoming permanent. But public notices telling riders vanished within days of the charges being introduced. A campaign group says motorcyclists across the country will lose long-standing free bike parking bays and urges riders to sign the group’s petition on Number 10’s website at Deadline to sign up by: 06 March 2009 http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/bikeparkingfees/

Hi I'm trying to help someone else locate a part (clutch case cover) for a Yas1 c1970. I've posted in the parts wanted section, but was wondering where the best places (online or real shops) are to try to find parts for older bikes. Thanks in advance

Does anyone know any RWHP figures for the first of the Fazer 1000's? I realise that every dyno is different and that they should only be used for comparison before and after stuff. But, has anyone got any figures? I'll start looking meself.

I'm just in the process of buying an 'Ace. Dog bones. I have found sone aftermarket Dog Bones for the Ace which raise the rear ride hieght by 25 mm, this means that i wont have to drop the forks through the yokes and reduce the ground clearance. Are they worth it? Do they work? Does anyone have a set up proceedure for the Ace once i've got these Dog Bones fitted (or without)? I've used the Performance Bikes set up on my Blade and on a 750SRAD and it was pretty good, measuring static and loaded sag, setting up the preload using cable ties to mark what you use etc etc. I've not been able to find one for the ace though. There is an advert on Ebay for rebuilt rear s…

I'm totally new to biking so forgive my ignorance to start with... Bought my YBR125 on 17th August this year (seems like years away!) and ever since have been looking for options on my post-DAS bike. I've been building a shortlist - liking street style bikes and being a short-arse at 5'4" (hubby says 5'3") can't do too tall, although I'm willing to get it shortened if needs be. Can't do anything sporty, since the hobby has seriously exacerbated my carpal tunnel syndrome so can't be in a riding position with too much stress on my wrists. Anyway, long story short, but it's only tonight that I've come across the MT-03. Not heard/read anything about it in weeks of lo…

Hi all, Looking at getting a 04 or 05 R1 and now know the different colour schemes for those years , but have noticed some dealers are advertising(and pricing) their bikes on year registrated and not year of manufacture. I 'm keen on the Lava red ones which were available both years,so which digit/s on the ident plate tell me year model and if it's a uk model thanks

hi all, first thread here , although i have found this forum damn useful reading up about the YBR125.. anyhow, wanted to ask y'all a quick question. the factory indicators on a ybr are 10w, according to the owners manual, but aftermarket ones, by oxford, are 21w.. would that be fine, considering its only a 11w increase, and bearing in mind that indicators aren't constantly on. also the wiring on the harness seems like it can handle it. any opinions? (btw, im changing to these, because ive got a set of spotlamps, and couldnt find anywhere to mount 'em - but the normal indicator positions - as a temporary fix, the indi's are cleverly mounted on using sellotape …

I just bought an FZR600R, gotta stick a new rear on it (the front is a brand new BT014). I know you shouldn't mismatch tyres, but doens anyone know if you can use a BT016 rear with an 014 front? I fancy trying out the 016's, but don't want to shell out a small fortune for a new set of 2 when the front is ok, I'm just a bit dubious as to whether the two tyres will work together Cheers Wayne
