Hi everyone, I've just got a 2008 R1 and I saw one last summer with the standard cans modified, it looked and sounded good! Anyone know how it's done? Failing that anyone selling a nice cheap pair of race cans? Thanks Hux

Hi, i'm hoping someone will be able to give me some advice on fitting renthal streetfighter bars on my fz6. The problem is the stock bars have locating holes in them for the switchgear, however the renthal bars don't. I'm not sure whether or not it would be safe to drill holes in the new bars or whether it would weaken them too much. Does anyone know any other way to fix them? All advice would be much appreciated. hello... i have a little problem with my rev counter on my r1,, she is on a 98 reg... when im riding her the rev counter flicks from 4, to 2, to 5, to 6rpm.. this has just stared to happen,, its anoying the hell out of me...this is happening all the time... can anyone tell me vwhat to do to stop this happening.. its as tho the rev counter is sticking then nothing at all,, on 0 rpm then flicks up to 4 or 5 rpm... its doing me head in so please if anyone no,s the problem and could help me then i would be very gratefull...... cheers for your time and someone please help!!!!!

I bought a '04 R6? over a month ago, and it didn't have the CDI.To get it running, I need to ID what I have, to see if another bike that has been offered to me will be a good parts donor.I have both VINs, but don't know which digits denote the specific model ID I'm looking for ...to clarify, the bike I bought is missing everything.It's a roller with the motor,intake,airbox,and electrical harness(minus CDI). The other bike is a '03 R6 (says so on the bodywork) but has been hit in the front. For the record, mine has clear title, the '03 bike is "Bill of sale" for parts only.I'd like to use it to get mine running , before I decide what next step to take with it...my Yammy de…

I am thinking about bidding seriously on an 82' XV750 on Ebay. Is it possible to mount a sidecar to one of these? Obviously the motor acts as a stress member of the frame. I did a quick Google and can't find any mention of one fitted to an XV750SE. Would it require fitting of a subframe? Thanks for bearing with me.

Hi guys, I have a YZF-R125 My chain is rusty : ( How did it get like this ? How do i get rid of it ? I do lube it with some "Shell" Lube that the dealer gave me, do i need to do this more often ? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone i have just brought a 1998 r1 and i am haveing a few problems when i start the bike the rev counter flicks up to 7000 rpm for a couple of seconds the goes back down also petrol drips out of one of the pipes on the bottom of the fuel tank quite badly and the end of the pipe freezes Thanks for any help Tim.

Hi, I just found this forum, I searched around but didn't see much info on exhaust systems for the Royal Star (2006). Does anyone have any suggestions, tips or hints on a good set of pipes? I've been looking at the Khrome Werks Slip -Ons HP PLus as well as the Samson Silver bullet Series (Slash Cut and fish tail) but am open to your opinion on making my bike a little louder Apologies if this already has been discussed in detail

New FZ1 Fazer, 700 miles, cleaned regularly. One of the down pipes is showing signs of Tarnish already, I thought they were Stainless? Any one else had the same problem? Cheers

Hello everybody, this is my first post. I have been riding bikes for a while. Started with the MSF course, bought a Ninja 250R, graduated to a 1988 HD Sportster all tricked out and ended up with a 2001 Honda Valkyrie that I am currently riding. It has 32K on it. I am picking up a 1986 FZ600 in the next few days locally. It has been repainted silver and hasn't been ridden or started up in 2 years. When the owner tried to start it, the carbs puked fuel. He took them off and cleaned them but they still puked. My guess is the floats are gummed and stuck. It also needs a rear tire and a basic freshening up. It has 13K on it and hasn't been registered or really driven for 5 y…

Just got my new FZ1 and I am well pleased with it. I want a few mods to start with 1) Aftermarket exhaust (considering a Yoshi but I will take on all advice) 2) Tail tidy 3) Is there a gel seat available ? these things have the hardest seat of anything I have ever ridden ! If anyone has suggestions for the above I would be grateful. Keith
