Hey everyone. Today the bearings for the steering went crunch and now I can't go anywhere with the thing clicking and locking up every time I try and turn. I've tried looking for the bearings on ebay with no luck and the closest I can find elsewhere on the net are for the 82-86 model, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Michael

Some times my bike will run on all four cylinders, you turn the bike off for a few moments and restart and she'll run on three cylinders!? I have checked the CDI its in order, the coils are A okey, number (3) three carb is back firing! What can be the problem and how can I rectify this problem?

Last year after being away from bikes for a long time i bought a 98 thundercat its now coming up for 40k and showing its age a bit and starting to have the occasional 2nd gear problem i do an 80 mile round trip to work and back every day thru the lake district in all weathers the cat is perfect good fuel economy and a comfy ride any advise on what to get next

Heya everyone, my first topic here on yamahaclub! Since a few months ago I've been the owner of a FZ 600 from -88, the UK model, which won't give any spark at all. Already tried changing the CDI-box (prev. owner thought it might've burnt), the turning relay (41r-71, both burnt and broken so badly you could see it with the naked eye), changed battery, checked the ignition coils and alot more, but still nothing good out of it I've been starting to think about the CDI-box, anyone knows if there should be any special resistance in it, and if that's the case, anyone has any idea / clue about how to measure it? Hey all I recently got new spark plugs in my fragstar! (125) the bit of rubber that fastens the plastic cap to the spark nut has came off and i have lost it. So the Spark cap is loose...would this be why i can only start the bike on choke then when i slighty touch the acceleration i lose all power, cant start it at all with no choke, it just makes the ignition sound and that is all. Im hoping i am right and this si what is causing the problem .......how difficult would it be could get that rubber bit .....and how much i wouldnt think they would be easy to get Advice would be greatly appreciated

i have this L reg fzr 400 and the battery runs flat after a while. i have replaced the battery with a new one, checked the charging, it shows a charge of 14v at tick over,14.2 at3500rpm. Put the lights on and volts drop to 12.4v at tickover,12.8v at 3500rpm.This seems i bit low i thought, any body know what volts i should be getting. thanks cranny

i have been lookin on some of the American forums where they have fitted mototeck undertails does any one know if this type of mod is road legal in the uk and if any UK companies do a version mototeck

hi all, im curently looking for a tzr servo, cant find 1 anywhere!!! its the cogs inside i need and no dealers can go that in depth into the microfiche, will a tzr 250 or dtr/dt be the same cogs??? iv noticed theres a 3rd wire holder on the servo and there isnt on other servos. will the gears be the same??? thanks allot

Hi Folks, I m looking to spice up the look of my new bike (granted not new, but new to me) I have a 2000 R6 and looking for sponser/manafacture decals for the belly pan. I have scoured the web but not found anywhere that does sets? Only individuals? Hi, just took delivery of a TRX850 (1996) which run perfectly when the dealer started it up on Friday. Tried to start it and when I took my hand off the throttle it died not to be revived. I waited until today to try and start it again as I thought that I may have flooded the engine. It still has not started. I have tried everything. Using choke. Pulling in the cluthc when starting it. Having it on the sidestand and not on the sidestand. I have even prayed to the gods for help. Has anyone god any ideas? I am going to contact the dealers tomorrow and see what they have top say.

can i remove my baffels from the stock MT-03 exhaust ?? not sure if its posible at all and would this do any thing apart from make it louder thanks

went to dealers couple of months ago to buy a tourer but fell in love with a r46 rossi limited edition and spur of the moment thing took hold and now its in my garage but want to raise the bars for more comfort but where do i start? only company i can find is genmar but they say they don't do a kit for a 2005 model, anyone any other suggestions?

Hi All, Just put a deposit down a 06 Plate MT-03, i passed few weeks ago and its my first bike. I was learning on ER5's but failed by test a couple of times on them (foot down) i switched to the MT's they had, instantly loved it. Much better visibility and better riding position for me, more comfy too (i am 6ft4) and the torque the thing chucks out put a big smile on my face, i preferred it to the high revving ER's Back on topic, i think i will service the bike when i get it. My pride and joy has been stolen from East London last night, only 3 weeks old! BLACK AND GOLD, REG: EY09UUH. 500miles on the clock. I doubt it will be found but I thought its worth a try posting the info. I dont know how they hell they took it. Alarm, cover, chain, must have been lifted. Anyone else suffered from this?

So I've tried using a Spinexx to carry my gear to work (workclothes etc), but it's fiddly to clip on/off and the opening is a bit too small to use easily (anybody want to buy a Spinexx 3-in-1? ) and I'm tired of riding with a rucksack so I'm looking at 2 other options... 1. I really like the Oxford Humpback mainly because with the tailpack base there's a permanent base on the bike and in theory it should be quicker/easier to attach to the bike. Looking at it in the shop, it looks a decent size and is expandable too. Question is, would it fit the bike? I had this delivered earlier, needs the original engine rebuilt, it has a DT engine but that hasn't got the right electrical connections so doesn't run ='[ I'll be posting up any progress I make on sunday as I work tuesday, friday and saturday and am at college on the other 3 week days.

hey, I'm completely new to motorbikes, and just purchased an '87 DT125R. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get hold of a copy of the owner's manual (the yamaha site has no earlier than 2000 - i dunno how much changed '87 to 2000 but i'd imagine a fair bit). Also, what about a Haynes manual for it. The Haynes website only has a manual that covers the DT125R from '88 onwards. Again, I dunno for sure but I'm assuming there were significant changes from '87 to '88 (otherwise, why not include the '87 model in the same manual?)? cheers.
