Hello all, I just bought a 1986 FJ1200 I payed 750.00 bucks for it. It runs ok I cleaned the carbs and need to get them syncronized it crackles and pops a bit. But my concern in 2nd gear. I have been reading a bit and I have heard a couple people say this is common. My question is what is the problem? Is it clutch or is it the gear? and should I fix it or get use to it. It will slip hard under acceleration but at low speed is ok. thanks for any input

As most of you will agree, the early YZF 750 R is a beatiful yet girly coloured machine. Mine is the white with pink flashes here and there. I've seen some pics on the net of the pink bits in red and it makes all the difference. I got a quote from a local spray place at £450 - £900 depending on various scenarios. That is way out of my league. Anyone got any tips. Any direct sticker replacements to go over the pink? Cheers.

Hi again guys OK......i've ordered the headers for my FZR 1000, will let you all know how it runs once fitted!! Now, what i'm on for is suspension advice!! Can you tell me if there are any Yam forks that will slot straight in? What about rear shock?? I have an RSV Mille with K-tech front end and Wilbers racing shock at the rear which really highlights the age of the suspension on the Yam!!! Not looking for WSB spec stuff even just a more modern set up would be great! many thanks guys.......................

Hi all. On my R125 the other day, I was going along a smooth flat road, and as I coasted along (with only my right hand on the handlebars) I took my weight off the bar, as many do. Fortunately I had my hand still resting very lightly on the handlebars, as all of a sudden the front end started to wobbly VERY violently, with the bars vibrating from side to side. Could this be down to front wheel balance, or a sign of a bearing going, or perhaps something more serious? The front tyre has been on since new, and done about 12,500 miles. It's due for a change soon, probably next week as it has less than 2mm of tread now, but before taking it in I wanted to see if a…

Hello! I just want to ask if the american modells of Yamaha R6, have immobilizers? I bought a wrecked R6 -03 american modell, without Ecu or ignition. I bought an american ignition with key. And today i ordered an american Ecu. These two parts was ordered from 2 diffrent sellers, so the two parts are not from the same bike. So will this work? And one more question just for fun! Does any american R6 bike have immobilizer? I mean like the 09 Yamaha R6 for example. Thank you, bye!

Suzuki broke the superbike 1000cc competition barrier with the 1300cc Monster Hayabusa, to which Kawasaki answered with its ZzR-14 and ZX-12R, right? Honda is off doing its own thing like always, making cheap cars an what not (can't really compete at that). So I ask, What is Yamaha's Big Bike Contender? Is it the R1? Is there no bike bigger than a liter displacement? Did I miss one somewhere? Just wondering... if none exists i will just have to argue to my friends that the R1 is good enough to whip bigger bikes asses without needing the bigger size.

hi guys and girls! sorry 2 bring up the dreaded exup valve again but ive looked every where for a decent answer to this question, so many different opinions on this! i have a yzf 750 sp, the exup valve is working fine but im after a few sneeky torques of maybe a horse or 2! some poeple rave about wiring the exup valve fully open and leaving the servo so you dont get the error code. is it even worth doing this? i have a carbon micron tail pipe on the bike already, should i bite the bullet and buy a new header and junk the exup valve completly? i use the bike for 1/4 mileing and road rideing i dont really want to cause trouble by gaining more top end and loosing out a…

So I saw a bike that had a for sale sign for $900 on the side of the road. I have ridden dirt bikes since I was like 7 years old but the biggest thing I ever rode was a 250 yamaha 4 wheeler. I figured, "dirt bike, street bike, all the same." Yeah right. The weight and power of a street bike through me (almost literally) for a loop. I am a grown man but skinny at 5'10" 140 pounds. Anyway, It ran well when I checked it out. Started right up, ran well, shifted well, idle nice, etc... I payed for it in increments before I picked it up a couple of days ago. This time, however, it took forever to get it started, it didn't want to stay running, it ran bad, and then, finally a…

Hi. I've an 08 R125, and have a question about the fuel guage I've recently had fitted a new set of dials under warranty due to the old set dying on me. Since then, the fuel guage seems to be at different levels at all sorts of random times. For instance, I rode 25 miles to work yesterday, knowing I started with a full tank, and when I arrived it showed that I had used half a tank full! Then by the time I'd got home again (another 25 miles) it was showing as empty. Then this morning, it was back up to 3/4 of a tank again!! Also, evey now and then the fuel guage flashes all seven segments at me, for up to an hour at a time, at random times. Is this something …

Hi there,I am new member here and I wanted to say hey to everyone, I also had a few questions about an XS 360 '77 that I am going to be purchasing tomorrow. The bike was purchased from seller with 1000 miles on it about 8 years ago. He said when he purchased it was in near mint condition, but a couple years after he purchased it, it was stolen by some crack head and the guy punched out the ignition and messed with the wiring pretty badly. Also, apparently the crack head decided to punch out the gas cap as well. The bike was finally recovered and has been sitting for some time now and not been ridden but it does have good compression and all parts are there. Being that it …
