Evening, looking for a bit of advice. I bought a 09 plate YBR 125 three weeks ago after doing my CBT. I'm getting on with quite well but I'm a little concerned about over reving it. I've done 300 miles but find I'm always in 5th gear. 4th at 30 shows 5k rpm but it feels like the bike is screaming, although it is in the middle of the powerband (if you can call it power!). I'm still running it in and want to look after the motor but I'm also learning as I go along. Theory test booked for next week and then on to DAS from there (funds allowing!) Ade

Hi all, what the is going on with the R125 prices? Just got my cbt a few weeks backs, i thought id be able to get a new r125 for £2999 .. but its more like £3699.. I know demand is high but its almost a grand up on the 08 price. I wouldn't mind a couple hundred but it seems like yamaha are taking advantage.. what do you think?

Really looking for a quick solution here people. I'm going to the British GP this weekend and i'm taking the missus pillion, so i need a luggage rack to stick the tailpack & tent on. Phoned Renntec, and they say they couldnt manufacture one for the FZ1 Fazer, but they have done for the FZ1. Now apart from the grab rails, how do the tail of these bikes differ? Looked a Givi topboxes as well just to get the rack, but they require me to butcher the underside plastics, and i aint having that. Anybody fitted anything that is just a bolt on job? Might need to borrow the father-in-laws FJR at this rate

well i have a xt660x powercomander lying around would it work with my mt-03 ?? as it has the same conections on the throttal body so i was wondering weather it would work as the one for the MT actuly cuts one of the wires where as the xt one is a inline loom

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I'm 15 years old, and I plan to get the Yamaha YZF-R1 on my 18th birthday (2012 model) or whatever better is available from Yamaha at that time (planning to spend no more than 15k). My mom agrees on getting it for me, but my dad says its too dangerous. I definitely do not plan to do stunts like wheelies, and max I'll go is 120mph on a straight highway. Is there anyway to convince my dad that the stereotype of motorcycles being dangerous is not true? Also, what safety precautions can be used to avoid accidents? Hello all, thinking about selling or trading my yb100 1986 in (need to get a 125), i've repainted the tank and put a new rear tyre on, Fosdyke very kindly came round and sorted the oil pump timing, its running really nice now but as i'm nearly 15 stone my missus says i look to big for it, has anyone got any ideas how much these bikes are worth in good condition, or of anyone wanting to swap from a 125 (god thats high hopes lol) thanks for reading this and i hope someone ca advise me. Ive had my R1 Raven '06 for about 3 years+, last couple months havent been riding much nor turning on. Ever since it seems like my battery has been either going bad or loosing charge. I have fully charged my battery. What suggestions may anyone have after charging to find out if my battery needs replacement, will more constant riding after doing so help or what? Thanks to anyone willing to help looking forward to getting this issue resolved for I miss riding my bike, but before replacing my battery want to make sure due to the fact that my money is tight!

Hey there, I have had my YBR125 from new. It has had its second service a while ago, and when I checked to see when the 3rd was due, there was no note of it from my engineer. Does anyone know what sort of mileage I need to have the 3rd service done? It has done about 2k miles since service 2.. Is it about now, or do I still have some way to go? Thanks in advance Andy

Hi, Recently I purchased a front cowling for my Yamaha YBR125, went to fit it today, as was incredibly surprised to find that the mounting brackets are about an inch out of mounting. When the dealer ordered them in, they did say '06, but immediately dismissed that these would be any different (the headlight hasn't changed on the YBR over the years). I was wondering if anyone else has had one of these screens, what it was like to fit, and what year your ybr is. It does look like I can bodge it, but I don't want to run the risk of bending the brackets to find that it still doesn't fit, and then I can't return them. hi all, my names chris, just signed up. bought myself a tzr125 4dl model last week and ive had some trouble with it, so i thought id find a forum to get some help if ud all be so kind. i was letting the bike run up b4 work havin a cup of tea and a fag and the bike bogs out and dies for no reason and would not start. now ive checked all the basics, fuel (although the tank isnt letting any fuel through the run outlet, the reserve works fine thou so i plan to use that for time being) spark, compression and as far as i can tell its getting oil. when checking the spark plug it was pretty black and oily so i cleaned it up with a wire brush and put it back in, the bike st…

I want to buy an FZR and was prepared to spend 2000 if needed but I'd have to sell my 81 yamaha cafe racer. This was a sad idea but I was prepared to do so. I just found a bike with a clean title that needs some work. That's fine because I am motorcycle savvy and did all the work on the 81 yamaha and others myself. The work: He claims that the shift forks need to be replaced and his motorcycle mechanic buddy told him that. When I went and checked it out, he told me that he has trouble getting past third. I was out riding my yamaha 89' 600 radian last night just having a great time when the bike stopped running. I have had this bike for a week maybe. I had just got her insp and was having a good ride. all week it had been running fine on my runs around the area but last night she started to lose a little power and quickly after that I started hearing a lower noise then usually coming from the engine - this was all riding down the road - then as I was nearing the parking lot to pull over she cut out and I coasted in to the lot and tryed to restart her and it would not start.
