Hi, Can someone tell me where the generator is on a 1988 tzr125? also the location of the rectifier. How do I remove the generator for repair/replacement? Cheers, Paul.

can anyone tell me the correct manufactor front tyre size for a 1999 yamaha r6 as one person told me its a 120/60/17 and another said its 120/70/17 many thanks.

Hey everyone! Just got hold of a 2000 R6 that has been rolled at cadwell pk. (see pics) Now im trying to rebuild it but parts are hard to find for the 5EB model. although there are lots of 5SL parts going cheap on ebay. Would these parts fit!? especially the rear end and subframe? Thanks Gaz Bell

I was wondering just how the system works for the immobiliser on the 2006 r6r. The system comprises an ignition barrel with a built in reader that reads the key and an ECU. My main question is can the seporate parts of the system be replaced seporately or does the whole system have to be replaced if at fault, thanks.

i need to find out where the # 5 hose connect to on the intake page in the parts manuel. does it go to the fuel petcock as a vacume line?

Morning folks, I need a some new tyres for my '96 YZF600 R and I'm thinking of gettting a set of Conti Road Attacks. Anyone have any experience of these tyres who can offer an opinion? Or can anyone suggest a good all weather, long wearing and well gripping tyre for my bike. Cheers

I've recently had my carbs cleaned & synced. When I start her, sometimes, I have to hold the throttle all the way open to keep her running. Then when she's running (warming up) when I twist the throttle; it boogs down or cuts off. I know this is NOT suppose to happen when getting on the throttle. Can somebody, ANYBODY, please help me out. I'm new to riding and I want to get the kinks out of my 85 Maxim X and I want to have her running right. Has anubody else ran into a problem like this or can assist me with fixing my issue. I thank you al in advance for you time & efforts. chrismc101

I just got my 1985 Yamaha Maxim X from my uncle. It sat in his kitchen, yes kitchen for at least 12 months. After getting my carbs done, I started her and rode her a lil on Sat. nite. It wasn't long before she started to go into the red. Rode back down the street and the fan comes on. Rode for bout 10 more minutes and fan hasn't been back on since. But it still runs hot. Could my thermostat be gone? Is this the true sign of a stuck thermostat or has the 24 year old thermostat called it quits? Since I did hear and see the fan come on, could that be a faulty wire on the fan motor? Somebody help me please. I'm ready to ride my bike but I want her to be riding righ…

Hi I have just (2 weeks ago) bought a new xj6 2009 . I am experiencing a noise from the front end at around 40 -60 mph. its a sort of rushing sound like air whistling . I have returned to the dealer who say its tyre related resonating up through the front fender. The bike has only done 400 miles and is on BT 021s . Has anyone else had this problem as im unsure about the dealers diagnosis being correct . All help and/or comments appreciated...

hi i have just purchased an f reg yb100 and it is constantly smoking excessivly and i am using a litre of 2stroke oil a week is there any way of adjusting this?????? also it will only reach a speed of 40mph is this correct? many thanx jamie

I recently dropped my new YZFR 125 motorbike. Insurance company happy to resolve, BUT for the last 2months, have been waiting for parts from Yamaha ! Just coupling and Fairing ! Two months and still waiting for parts...? Is this normal ?

Pretty much what the title says =] Im getting the RSP but iv got the 3TJ in parts so was wondering what i could do with the RSP But does any one know if the 3TJ MICRON exhaust will fit on the RSP Downpipes? Anddd If the 3TJ swing arm and fairings fit the RSP as well? i know the front head fairing wont but dunno if back will? Cheers Danny

Hi I have bought my first Yamaha after a long spell with Kawasaki. I have a YZF1000R Thunderace 1999 It has just developed a strange noise/squeak. When idling it's fine but as soon as you rev it squeaks for a second or two and then goes away but it does it everytime you rev fromm idle. It sounds like it is coming from the exhaust. Has anyone else heard of this? Thanks

Right well i have just goten my MT 03 660cc at this current moment it prduces 48bhp but buy law because i will be 17 when i pass my test it needs to be restricted to 33bhp now what i want to know are the folowing 1. what will be power be like after restriction 2. how is the restriction aplied 3. how could i get away without haveing it restricted 4. how will the allready small top speed be afected the only reson i need to know is because its shared use the bike is myn but my mum will be riding it as well and will need to keep up with my dad on his XT660X. And i do have quite a bit of experiance with bikes and quads and all things powerd so i now im capable…

I have a 79 XS11, did carb rebuild last year. motorcycle ran 90% good, ran very rich, no choke use on cold starts and a rough idle. took bowls off and reset floats. now uses choke to start runs smoother, but when it warms up it goes to a high idle, about 4000 rpm and stays. any suggestions on the direction I should go, thanx.
