Hey all, have just in the last few days upgraded from a ybr125 to an xj6n and although I'm totally loving it, I'm finding my hips ache and on occasion feel like they are gonna pop out of joint. One guy I work with (also a biker) says it's probs just a settling in thing. And come to think about it had similar issues when I started riding the 125. Any suggestions? man up!, give it time, bulk up you skinny git, Maybe a riding position issue?

Doing the run home and the back wheel started feeling a bit light. Checked and low and behold a huge bloody nail in the back wheel. Not that technically proficient yet so off to an expert to get it fixed (when I get time & cash). Bloody training it again till then.....Moan over. How much do you think it would cost to get the puncture repaired? It's an XVS 125 tubed wheel.

  5. So story goes like this.. Passed my mod 2 1 minor for undue hesitation not like me at all as you know if you have ridden with me Very pleased very happy as you would expect. All the joy of getting a bigger 2 stroke spinning around in my mind. Nice triple or a mental screamer but more important for now burning those L plates that are of great shame to me. Thankfully and i say with behind grinding teeth i haven't yet ridden since passing on the 11th. Why you maybe thinking Thankfully? Well after a urgent message to get in contact asap with the instructor i used sent Friday last. It seems that my Module 1 had expired with my 1st theory November 2012…

Hi, I have recently had my 2004 R1 in for repairs with my local bike mechanic. Tonight I noticed a whining noise coming from the engine and then all of a sudden the sound of metal rolling around inside the engine. So being curious, I started the engine up again and it sounded ok-ish, but then when I wanted to switch it on again, it will not turn the engine over. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have put a clip on youtube where you can hear the whining noise before you cold hear metal rolling around. http://youtu.be/Zvz6LQxg7t8

After reading Dirty DT's post in the for sale thread, "Squires for sale" it got me thinking where would be the ideal place for our own Biker cafe, as dirty said there's lot's pubs closed down which could easily be converted to a biker cafe, it would be good to be pretty central so no one at least in the UK has to ride stupid miles to get there or we could have more than one, one in the north and another in the south then we could have ride outs between them so just for fun unless I win the Lotto where would you put your's and why ?

  9. Started by slice,

Ok I have finally decided to make some YICS tools, to those that need them I am offering them at cost, I have arranged to have them made for about £25 each and have asked for 6 of them so I will obviously have a few spares, if your interested them PM me or leave your name up here and I will get back to you. To those that don't know what a YICS tool is a brief explanation, if you have a YICS chamber on your bike then you have to blank it off before you can balance the carbs, the YAMAHA price is so expensive that most folks just send their bike in to have it done for them but it's so easy to do, why pay someone to do what you can do your self. I will be using Stainless …

  15. I'm looking for some speakers that have good quality sound, good bass and a fairly high volume. I want some that you can plug into your phone and not massive, I don't want a docking station because I already have one. Right let's narrow it down, I'm looking for, loud, bassy, good quality, suitable for iPhones, not huge speakers, not to expensive £80+. Any ideas? Thanks

Got some biker jeans today. Went to longsight in smelly manchester. To the guys house so that I could try b4 I buy.. He was an Indian ,not one of those with feathers one of the other ones. Anyway he was a dead good man. He told me were the gear comes from and why its re-badged and all sorts They are really good quality and theirs More Kevlar in than a lot of others I looked at. He has a few different styles in stock but I went for the plain front type as I cant abide the stitched knee cap ones. Armour knee pads and hip protection is included . All for 37 pounds. He isn't a mate and im not getting any commission for advertising him. But if your looking for so…

  20. Just done another stint in the Alps. I opted this year to do a little more exporation of the Western Alps, as well as riding over the Jura Mountains, something i'd not done before. All told just over 3700 miles. Itinerary: Day 1: Bristol to Freiburg. Day 2: Ride along the Vosges, Route de ballon from Mulhouse to Selestat. Day 3: Transit to Lausanne, via the high Jura, over the Col du Chatteral (nice route). Day 4: Chill out in Lausanne, swim in Lac Leman. Day 5: Ride from Lausanne to Brig. Taking in JaunPass, Interlaken. Afternoon riding Grimsel, Furka, Oberalp and Susten [doubling back around for the hell of it]. Day 6: Brig to Albertville, via the slow road…
