This is a duplicate post - I also posted in my build thread but I wanted to put it up here too and report as time goes on if this stuff actually works or not. Did the "Engine Restore" treatment to the bike today. She goes through about half a quart of oil every 200kms...which is pretty excessive, and I don't really want to tear the engine apart to do rings or anything but if I have to I will....but I figured I'd give this stuff a shot first. I followed the instructions for wet-clutch 4 stroke motorcycles, which I have...and that was: Pull all 4spark plugs Used a turkey baster to insert about a teaspoon of "Engine Restore" into the spark plug holes Put the…

Hi all, Not sure if anyone can help but here goes anyway, I recently had problems with my meta M53T disabling my bike (just as I was 100yds from home - lucky) , I want to remove this and put a new datatool S4, however I cannot find the information required to remove the Meta. I have found and traced all the connections, the bike will turn over but no HT, I have also fitted the new alarm ready but not much use without knowing which of the 9 all black yamaha wires need to be bridged to regain the spark. Hope fully someone out there can help either by forum or PM as i go back away with work soon and i want to go for a ride around first.

Hey guys and gals! Just got a 1996 xj600s and I'm restoring it as a project. I was thinking of starting a blog about it all and posting what I was doing and how to sort through and clean it up etc. it's a non runner at the moment. Starts and runs on idle and choke, but will cut out as soon as you touch the accelorator. First though, problem in fuel pump/ carbs taken all this off and found a small hole in one of the diaphragms in the carb! Hoping this is the problem, anyway. Ordered a second hand set of carburetors and awaiting them to arrive. Checked fuel pump and fuel lines all running smoothly, so with any luck not much more work to do to get it up and running. Once it …

Hi, I am after FZX 750 carbs (diaphragms specifically but try to buy these new - £100 each!!! wtf??..). Does anyone know if there are any other bikes/models which would have compatible parts with FZX 750 '86? I don't seem to find the answer online. There aren't exactly many carbs flying around, but for example FZ 750 are plenty. Any ideas anyone please?? Thanks

Hey Guys, I just bought a WR200 and its a 1995 Model. Im after a clutch cable for it but most places (including Ballards) say the model finished in 1992 and they dont listings for a 1995 model. The clutch cable apparently is also not interchangeable with 1992 models. According to wiki the WR200 is 'related' to the DT200. Are the DT & WR the same bike? Are the parts interchangeable? please help!

Morning all I've got a BMW r1150rt and fancy a change to something with a little more oomph and less vibes but with the same level of touring comfort esp for the pillion who will be making all final decisions. I quite fancy the look of the FJR1300 - my bike is worth maybe 3.5K so I'd be looking at 6K max - so an older one what is the comfort like? is the power OK - even in wet/slippery conditions that we get a lot of the time are there any known problems/issues?? thanks a lot Nick

Hi All, Can Anyone help?? I've been given a FZR 400. It's a 1985/86 model frame number is 46X then the rest of it. I'm not sure which exact model it is. However, it has a fuel problem,,,,,,NO FUEL PUMP!!! So, I've ordered one via Ebay for a 1WG model. I suppose any low pressure pump will do. Anyway, I can't find where it should plug in, and also the tank sender, where that should plug in. I need a service manual for it!!! Any ideas????? I don't know what spec the bike is, European, American, etc.(I have a feeling it is European spec.) The tank is all steel. So, if there is anyone out there in the Merseyside area that can help,,,,YES PLEASE!!! I'd be more than…
