Now come on. I couldn't complain if a car swapped lanes without looking or signalling and hit me if I was filtering. I couldn't complain if a car swapped lanes without looking and signalling and hit me if I was overtaking on the blind side. But when a car swaps lanes without lookng and signalling and hits me WHEN I'M BLEEDING WELL STATIONARY AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS I feel I have a right to grump a little. No damage to the TRX, and chummy coughed straight away as well he might with me hopping round where I'd hit my funnybone swearing Blue Fire. (I hadn't heard language that obscene since the vicar tripped over our cat). There is some justice: The impact put a nice d…

Hi all, I am more into cars, so selling bikes is new to me....... I am selling a trials bike on behalf of someone who bought it "thinking" they would do some trials, but plans changed. Anyway, a potential buyer phoned up and asked if it had matching numbers, so to stall I said I would call them back tomorrow. So, what is all this "matching numbers" all about? It is a TY 175, non-road legal, trials bike and the frame and engine do have different numbers. I sort of thought that matching numbers might indicate that the engine was the original, but a google search tells me that BMW do not allways have matching numbers, but the site can tell you the year of the bik…

One winter morning a couple was listening to the radio over breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through." Norman's wife goes out and moves her car. A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through." Norman's wife goes out and moves her car again. The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio a…

Subject: Fw: Address Book Protection I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its simplicity. As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your email address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact that the worm has gotten into your system. Here's what you do: First, open your address book and click on "new contact," just as you would do if you wer…

alright! got my YZ400 cylinder... plopped right on without any worries. the cylinder head studs are a shorter length than the DTs, but i have yet to try and remove the studs from one of my DT cylinders to see if i can pull them off. if i can, i could swap them out. the reed cages are different, although the early YZs and DT bikes seem to use the same reeds according to boyesen. so there will still be a bit of research, and parts sourcing... but it's a good start it seems. the head plopped right on too, save for the stud length. just the debate is whether i use a DT series piston, or a YZ series piston? i am leaning towards the YZ series. although i don't have a year…

Well it's been 3 or 4 years since I've been skiing @ Mt. Hood Meadows resort......always liked this view from just the parking lot .... It definitely coulda been clearer for weather, but the temps & wind I sure couldn't complain about! For my fellow 2-wheel Compadre's.....This is only 1 reason I Love to Ski! ... As you can see, Mt. Jefferson & the 3 Sisters are fairly clear in view..... Those mountains are halfway down the state of Oregon. But on a really clear day, I've seen Mt. Shasta waaay off in the distance ......that's over an 8 hour drive clear down in California! 1 more from a different, more challenging run..... …

Hey guys, does anyone know if car insurance companies will except no claims earned on a motorcycle? I've heard that some place will allow it but can't remeber the source. It only seems fair as you are more likely to have an accident on a bike. Cheers Robbie

hi, everyone. I was hoping someone could help me solve a mysterious problem that has had mechanics all round the country scratching their heads! I have had a problem with my clutch! I have a 2002 yzf r1 with only 10,000 on the clock and i have a difficulties changing gear when she's cold. She wont let me put it in to first gear without stalling. Not any problems when going up the gears. I have had the plates out and had them looked at by 3 Yamaha approved mechanics(no names mentioned eh ) but they can't see anything physically wrong with it! . Please help

...the '06 R6 is so popular with most people ..... Seems like it'll be a worthy adversary for the other 600's this year... Judging by the way Jason DiSalvo is exiting this turn @ the Laguna test recently.

hey guys... new to the forum... seems like a pretty cool place. i got my first yamaha last week. it needs a lot of help, but should be a fun overall project.. it's a 1976 DT400. own a number of other machines, but this one is pretty greek to me (a bunch of little bits like compression releases that i have never messed with before, and apparently a 6 volt electrical system). i am hoping to build a street tracker out of the thing... just think that would be pretty fun way to go with it, and look pretty sharp in the process. figured i would find people who know more than i do on here, and attempt to pick some brains, and add what i can to the forum while i am at it. well,…
