hey, I'm new to motorbiking and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites that discuss/review motorbike clothing and/or helmets - particularly in terms of protective ability. Also, in particular, any advise on helmets is welcome. cheers!

Hello , It was recommended to me to use paraffin from a friend for getting the muck and oil splatter off the wheels on my new r6. It worked amazingly but.. i don't remember him telling me that i must clean the tyres quickly after, incase the remaining parraffin makes contact with the tyres. Now i am left with 4 blue lines round each side on my tyres! I have a track day booked for Monday and i am now informed from this friend that if thats the paraiffin set into the tyres they will fail to grip! This is going to mean more £££'s which one is lacking! Please give me your advice!!!!!! Thanks, Arran arranpowellAThotmail.com

I recently decided to buy another bike after a few years. I shope around for the best deal going and came across this website - http://www.motorcycleclothingshop.co.uk/ The service I received was top notch and the gear is excellent. I bought 2 piece leather suit, boots, gloves & textile jacket. All took 2 days to deliver.

I was looking on tinternet today and loved the look of the XT660r. This drew me to the TDM 850 and how I used to love the look of the bike. The question is, what are they like? Especially for a short ar*e. I know about cutting seats and lowering kits but general views would be welcome. BTW the DT is NOT for sale. Cheers

How do you post in the 'For Sale' section? I know I am a newcomer to this site and there has to be a certain amount of security but I have paid the subscription fee and still I cant post in that section. Its just that Ive got a genuine Yam manual (XS500) and a Cycleserv manual (TY250B) which are of no use to me. Ive tried contacting a mod with no success. ATB J

I have been sitting in the garden drinking John Smiths, having a ciggie and admiring my new roof box I got today and a question popped into my head. This is the background: I am off to France in a few weeks in the car. Having got rid of the Zafira for a smaller car I needed a bit more space to put the stuff. (We filled the Zafira to the brim last year). We go fully loaded so the roof box is there to make up for the smaller boot space. Everyone knows that roof boxes lower fuel consumption and they are streamlined to reduce this (drag). In addition to this, extra weight lowers fuel consumption and the roof box will be full, as well the boot. As I was sipping the beer I n…
