I have a 96 xv535 that's leaking at the clutch shaft seal where it enters the case behind the rear cylinder. Local yamaha shop said they have never seen one leak there before. I've checked the crankcase breather and it's clear. Does anyone know what caused the leak and do I have to pull rear cylinder to change the seal. Also I noticed that the aftermarket clutch kits note that kits are not for full synthetic oil. I've been running amsoil for the last 20,000 miles. Bike has 25,000 miles.

Hi all I finally got round to finishing of my FZR600 genesis, I bought it last year for £660.00 of evil bay, full service history with 31k on , required new fork seals and new bearings for sprocket carrier and rear wheel as they were shot, did a oil change, filters, coolant ,oh and a new rear tyre the rest of the bike was ok ,apart from it had been coated in wd40 which is fine for protection but when it been left on for a year or 2 everywhere was sticky and a sod to clean off, so after a couple of washes with stardrops great for cleaning has it contain no salt unlike your fairy liquid then a good polish ,all in all i have spent around another £150.00 so for under £800.00…

  17. Hello, I am inheriting a 1978 DT 175 Enduro that needs a new crankcase cover. I will be getting my riding certificate soon and will be using the bike to get back and forth from work. However I want to get the cover before I take my rider's test. I've searched online but can't really find anyone that sells these. Can anyone give me some hints, suggestions, etc? Thank you, -Hutch

Turn signals light but do not flash. Horn does not work but high beam light dims when horn button is pushed. Headlight is fine when battery is fully charged but will turn dim at idle after running bike for about 30 min. (Battery not charging?) Will brighten when bike rpm is reved up. Any ideas? Thank you.
