The alarm was first raised at around 4pm as thousands of phone calls and text messages went unanswered. Small groups of volunteers from Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Carlisle ventured north only to find houses full of dead people gathered around still blaring television sets. As RAF helicopters flew over deserted city streets, it was clear that the whole country had suffered a catastrophic abdominal rupture. Wayne Hayes, a special constable from Northumberland, said: "We went into one house in Dunbar and found three men sitting on the sofa with huge smiles on their faces, still holdi…

Progress on the 'originaltwistgrip's non-runner..... Well, On saturday a breaker near me supplied me with a complete wiring loom, Complete Instrument cluster with Ignition lock and key, headlamp, tail lamp, Left and right switch gear and twistgrip, left and right Pet cocks complete with filters, front L/H brake caliper and a few sundry items, all in good condition. £170 well spent! Yesterday, I turned my back on the wife whilst sorting all the bits I needed to replace or clean up and when I turned back she had taken vast areas of the frame back to bare metal The original intention was just to remove the surface rust and then treat with a Rustconverter/primer. Looks n…

Hi I went for a short run out today visiting friends about 30 miles round trip all was well bike running good, lovely weather pulled into the drive back at home looked at bike no numberplate or metal bracket, I could have sworn it was on secure but as the bike was never out of my sight I can only assume it just fell off & for xx amount of miles i'm riding without & I am wondering how would I stand if i'd been pulled any excuses or is there a fixed penalty ?

Guys, any help at all with this would be most greatfully recieved. This is a fellow bikers post of XT660.com (Bullit). My Yamaha XT600E reg Q587UAR was stolen tonight whilst visiting a friend in Eltham, SW9. If you guys can please be on the lookout for it I would appreciate it. It has certain distinguishing features that makes this bike quite unique. It is completely WHITE, has an Acerbis long range tank, Aluminium rims, stainless spokes with TKC's fitted, Ohlins rear shock, aluminium bash plate, Renthal gold handlebars and Barkbusters handguards (White). Also a new Hepco & Becker pannier rack fitted recently after the photo was taken. …

Came across this forum whilst looking for information on tyre pressures for my FZS 600, and a lovely place it is too Anyhoo My names Ray, had my fzs for about 2 months or so,, and just passed my test today , wooooooooo hooooooooooooooo lol Been out on the bike most of the afternoon covered about 80 miles or so and just love it to bitz. Bit strange moving from a 500cc to the 600cc fazer, couln't believe what a difference it is. Getting used to the bike now, just buzzing about Grangemouth, Falkirk, Bo'ness etc to get the confidence built up before the obligatory trek to the Green Wellie this Sunday, really looking forward to it. Hi Guys and Gals New member here. Novice bike rider with a 2001 Thundercat. Although I'd always wanted one I had never been on a bike, even as a passenger, until couple of years ago when I bought my Thundercat with a view that, if the bike was there it'd give me motivation to sit my test. I hadn't even sat on the bike before buying it to see if my short legs would reach the black stuff . Passed my direct access but haven't really had much time on the bike so confidence is still low. Poor I know. So hoping to get some miles under my belt this summer and get to grips with this motorbiking lark !

Hi Folks - my nickname of 'twistgrip' was given to me by my RAF mates way back in the early sixties when I was riding Matchboxes and REs and has stuck with me ever since. It ame about when I had the slogan 'Twistgrips rule forever' painted on the back of my helmets. Anyhoo, I've just purchase a couple of 750 triples - one is a decent runner, although the previous owner ripped out the Instrument cluster and replaced it with a lashed up panel and a tiny speedo! T'other was described as a rolling chassis, but turned out to be a complete 750SE with a very butchered Wiring loom and missing all the handlebar controls and the lefthand front brake caliper. Both should keep me…
