Hi guys, I own nowdays a Yamaha TDM 850. It has a 2 to 2 aftermarket (think it is nexxus) exhaust sytem. I want to change from 2-2 to 2-1. I bought the necks of the exhaust that bring the 2 outlets into 1 just under the engine. I also got myself an aftermarket viper can. I need a garage/shop to create a link pipe and install the whole exhaust system. Had a look online, couldnt find anyone. Any suggestions? The place where I service my bike said they couldn't help unless I had the whole exhaust. Many thanks, THIS IS FOR A FELLOW BIKER, ITS NOT MY BIKE, THOUGHT WHO BETTER TO ASK

i took my yzf750 for a spin today, i was going up a hill near my home, i took first up to about 9ooo revs and as i changed into second the front lifted a little causing the bars to go all light. This often happens so no problems, but this time the front wheel only being 1 inch or so off the ground hit a bit of bad road and turned my bars completely to the right. The first response to any dangerous situation is to brake but to brake in this situation would have been an instant off. As a forty four year old having passed my test at 17 i consider myself reasonably experienced, but i still amazed myself. My instinct was not to brake but to yank the throttle fully o…

Hi all. I've been Googling this and not getting much luck. Does anyone recommend any good bike shops around Manchester that sell things like fuel filters, gaskets etc. You know, like motor factors like BMS or Euro car parts but for bikes. I know I could go to a main dealer but I imagine everything for a 91 bike would be special order and cost a lot more. I've found various online shops but sometimes it's just good to go somewhere and buy the stuff you need to do a job. Anywhere that caters for older bikes but be helpful. It probably sounds like a daft question but when you're just getting back into bikes it can be hard to find stuff you need. Cheers

I'm just trying to find out if there is any possibility of getting a bigger back wheel for my xj6. Has anyone tried/tested it? I know i will loose some of its agility, but I just wondered wether it was possible and its advantages/distadvantages.

New to the Yamaha Owners Club although I have owned a Yamaha for over 10 years. 1980 Yamaha DT175 Enduro. Bought the bike from my brother-in-law for $300. It had a badly bent rear rim, bent levers, worn chain, worn tires, worn grips and boots, but it ran somewhat. Wheel Works in Garden Grove, CA fixed the bent rim and set me up with some DOT Pirelli knobbies Was able to replace most everything else with parts from Chaparral motorsports. A good friend of mine Angel Pena, cleaned out the carb and replaced the head and base gaskets. Next up is new crank seals and bike should be good for some desert trail riding. It is completely street legal with current CA…

Hey guys, My Dad has been given a Yahama TR1 VX1000 which is shaft driven, but he doesnt have an exhaust for it. We are trying to find one, but no-one in Australia seems to know what a TR1 is. Where can we get an exhaust from? or, will a Virago exhaust fit? Cheers, Luke

Took my pride and joy to an abandoned outdoor car park near me today for some practice before I sit my CBT. Clocked up 10 miles in the sun, going round and round, it was fantastic.... Right up until the point where I was having so much fun I didn't notice quite how fast I was approaching the wall, had a mini-panic and finally dropped her! Thankfully I was only doing about 10mph when I went down, so there was only some minor scuffing done to the bike, as well as the leg trapped under it. Just thought I'd let you all join in the laughs at my first spill...

Just took delivery of my Hood ND4 jeans, along with the armour inserts - very impressed with the build quality, they are very long for a pair of jeans but I'm assuming that's so that when you're sitting on the bike they're not halfway up your leg. Anyway, I thought maybe some of you might have been thinking about getting a pair of armoured jeans, if you want to know anything about them let me know. Cheers JK

I have a 2001 fazer 600 with only 18,500 miles on the clock. I recently went to start the bike, but when I did, I found that the rev counter and Odo were not working (the words ODO, where in the top right of the LCD screen).I did however have the 2 trip meters and the digital clock. After speaking to a local bike repair shop, I was told that it would be cheaper to replace the clocks with 2nd hand onces, as having a diagnostic done on the old set was costly, and he had heard that the fazer 600 had an inherant problem with the electronics in the clocks. Does anyone know of this problem, or does anyone know why it happens and can it be fixed ? If you do then please contac…

Hi everyone im stil new to this site and i duno if ive posted this in the right place (: Right i have a YBR125cc 59 plate havent realy done much to it apart from rim tape and stickers i was going to leave it as that but i wanted it to sound a little bit deeper with a nice tone i custom made and exhaust for mine mainly for sound but now im looking at the power side of things the exhaust is pritty much hollow so its letting out enough air and i took the air filter and the cover of the air box for a while to drive about and see if that helps and it didnt realy just badly smelt of petrol (rich) so ive stuck it back on but i have brought a fancy air filter and removed …

i was welding Friday morning and my new mask was too dark for me to see to start the arc properly, so like a dick i was starting my welds off with no eye protection. thought i had got away with it but 10 hours after i had finished my eyes started to hurt like mad and the whites turned red like in a warewolf film. ended up at moorfields eye hospital in london with burnt corneas, just starting to get my sight back today. just thought i would post this to give you all a laugh and perhaps stop someone else being as stupid.

Just thought I'd share my first real 'idiot moment' that I had today. 5pm, bikes warmed up ready to leave work and the workshop floor's wet as it's peeing down near Old Trafford. Gets on the bike and about to leave. My right foot slipped enough on the wet floor to put me off balance and my rather weighty FZR (around 181kg I think) starts to go over. I fought hard to keep it up but it beat me in the end. To make matters worse, as it went down, I couldn't help but rev it so everyone was alerted to my antics in time to see me drop the bugger! It's not too bad, corner of the screen is now missing (was gonna replace it at a later date anyway) right front flasher lens was ri…

So i went for a ride today in the hills, about a halfhour from me, a place called woodhead (aka snake pass) and i could hear that my bike was louder, so i stopped and realized the usual exhuast sound wasnt coming from the end of the exhuast, instead theres a hole at the start of my pipe so it sounds a tad loud, well it did anyway
