Hi guys, I've got a few spots of rust on the frame of my lovely Drag.. they were there when bought. Can anyone recommend some paint I can get (preferably in a store rather than online), and a method for application? I'm guessing it's a case of sanding the rust down and then applying, but I'm not very good with this sort of thing so any advice would be appreciated. If it isn't raining on Sunday I'd like to give the bike some TLC. Cheers, John

This morning on the M6, I looked over to my left and there was a woman, in a brand new Porsche 911, doing 70 miles per hour with her face up next to her rear view mirror, putting on her eyeliner I tell ya!! I looked away just for a couple of seconds... and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup... As a man, I don't scare easily, but she scared me so much, I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the meat pie out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against t…

Hey there. Someone had dumped a ghetto blaster in a quarry not far from me, so I took it, full of water, but it now works! Might strap it to my granny rack when I get some batterys for it lol

Hi, new member here. Also posted this in the workshop section, but maybe more appropriate here. Anyhooo... My current project is very much Yamaha related, although it's a special. It all started with a YPVS350LC engine that has been slightly tuned. Had it sitting around for a while and finally decided to find a new home for it. To make a long story short, I decided to put it into a TZR-250 3MA frame, which it went into without too much fuss. The search for more modern bodywork lead me to the YZF-R125 as it it both modern and slim. Again, with a bit of fitting work it went on pretty easily. There is still loads to do and you can see the progress here: Build blog …

Hey guys, I recently purchased a 1984 XS400 maxim. I am a new rider, so I am still unfamiliar with the brands and anything motorcycle related. I wanted to change a couple of things on my XS400, the exhaust and the seat. If anybody can please suggest any brands/parts, it will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Guys. Wonder if you can help me out? Bought an XV750, as mentioned in previous posts, and it conked out on the way home after 30 miles. Green flag obliged and I cleaned out the concrete-like blockages from all of the jets, bowl etc and managed to run it intermittently sometimes on one cylinder. Forked out £160 to have the carbs rejetted, cleaned etc and it ran fine for a few miles then started chugging. Checked the plugs and they were choked up with carbon preventing sparking. Cleaned and started resetting pilot jets and running in between until I had them turned out 3 and a half turns. Still fouling! Did that paper test thingy on the remote Mixture Control Valve. No v…

Hi guys, When commuting in London I am constantly changing up/down gears, but I have noticed that when I am in the lower gears if I release the throttle but do not brake (engine is providing braking obv), when I re-apply the throttle there is a thud as the chain is grabbed. Is this poor throttle/clutch management on my part, or something to be expected? Also, my throttle has a lot of play in it (christofeser is kindly helping me out with this at a later date), to the point where if I want to pin it I have to adjust my grip forward to then pull down further; this means however that when I go to change gear, I go to close the throttle but because I have had to twist i…
