i have a 2 stroke yam yb 100 1988 i took it out for a ride and when i came back the revs was slowly increasing so i had a look at the carb couldnt see anything wrong so put it back together the next day started it seemed ok and idled but this was cold so i took it out but it was sluggish and when i changed down gear i had to keep the revs on and when i stopped had to keep revving it. had another look at the carb and noticed the split pin had come out of the top of the throttle stop rod and was just sitting in the carb bore so i put it back in with a new split pin and made sure it wouldnt come back out now when i start it it revs so high on startup i dont dare leave …

So, I installed Rizoma Zero-11's on my Triumph. Ever since I purchased the bike I have disliked the stock front signals. I know its' not a Yamaha, so many of you may not care, however, if you are looking to put new signals on your bike I would recommend the Rizoma's. They were a breeze to install, and look fantastic. They're also bright as hell, as you can see from this video: (Not my bike btw)

  6. Amazing, picked my first bike up today, a yamaha DT125R. Runs amazingly and I'm very pleased with it. Unfortunately 5 minutes into riding it I've already learnt a lesson. I was signalling to turn right into my drive, another motorbike was approaching so I slowed down, turned my head to check behind me and some VW Golf driving muppet pulled out and overtook nearly taking me and the other biker down. Excellent. Thankfully I looked behind and luckily the other rider had experience to deal with it, I guess you have to get used to unpredictable behaviour from some car drivers!

Hey there everyone, My names Liam, I'm just coming into the biking scene and wanted to make it official by joining the owners club. I'm getting a 2010 YBR125 on Friday and am absolutely extatic! I have had a bike before, about three years ago. It was a Lonjia Madness 125 (chinese scooter). It was cool, but had loads of little annoying things like the battery compartment leaked an would fill up with water! I ended up drilling holes in it for drainage! also, the exhaust mounts snapped and was hanging off. Had o weld it back together... Eventually my CBT ran out, I passed my driving test, bought a car and never had a bike again... But now, I've re-done my CBT…

Alrighty there... Joined up your great looking site, as I've just come into the biking world by buying a TZR 125 - after one shot taking it home, I'm hooked already! Its my first bike, passed my CBT a couple of months ago and finally got round to buying a bike at the weekend. Here's a few wee pics before it started raining! (I do live in sunny Scotland after all!) Love at first sight, she's a bit rough round the edges but I see it as challenge to tidy up odds and ends. If anyone else has one, would love to see their pics and get some inspiration! Know absolutely nothing about bikes (and not ashamed to admit it!) so any help or info about it will be gr…

What kind of wedding band did you get? Seems that many people are going non-traditional with metals these days. I personally went with Rose Gold, I had been planning on Black Titanium, but heard it scratches really easily. Just curious, as my band is supposed to arrive today!

Hi all, my son has got a 1986 DT 50 MX. He was out for a spin when the engine started loosing power and died on him, he noticed that he had no 2 stroke oil left in the tank(numpty) and pushed the bike home. I have had a look at it topped up with oil, bled it through but the bike wont start. Looking on futher got a good spark from the plug but after kicking for a while there seems to be no fuel going to the engine. I have stripped the carb and reassembled it. No blockages and fuel runs into it ok. Tried to bump it and still the plug is dry. Any help would be great. Thanks Dave. Yes he is a plonker.

Hi guys thanks for all the help. I have a slight problem when the bike is in netural or have the clutch in the bike revs fine, but when I ride it seems as thoutgh the bike is missing, but not all the time and some time the reves drop and if you open the throttle they pick up again if you rev it a few times. I think it is a feuling problem so I took off the carb too see if any dirt got in and check the jets when I blew on them they didnt seem blocked and sometimes back fires ____________________
