I'm going to go ahead and assume that the exhaust valves are on the front of the engine, and the intake ones are facing the carbs. However, assuming doesn't always work out so well, so can someone confirm this for me. Thanks.

First off, hi, new to the site, I have just bought a DT125R, 2001 model, that I bought froma friend who bought it as a non runner, sharted restoring it, sat in his garage 2 years and gave up lol, so, I have taken on the challange and so far so good, however, the rear caliper is seized, and he has broke it trying to remove it, can anyone recommend any dedicated breakers that specialise in DTR's etc? or does anyone know how much the cost of one would be new???

  7. I'm off on a bit of a rant here so bear with me Whilst I know many people have experience on their bikes and can work on them I find it amazing when people seem to just sit there and just say "it won't go" and alot of my friends who have problems who have no experience are totally reluctant to go and get their bikes fixed and I can accept were 16 and have little money but still is it not true that we can't afford to cut corners and bodge everything so that our bikes are being held together by duct tape (which one of my friends bikes is) this issue just seems to keep coming to light and I would like to know why so many people are just so reluctant to ask for help? Is…

  11. So, I've been keeping up with George R. R. Martin's journal updates. It seems that the casting for HBO's show based on his book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, is coming along rather well. Most of the people on here probably recognize the actors better than myself, as they are all British. I believe they're building a mock castle for the series somewhere outside of Belfast. Anyway, if you know the series you can check out the updates here:

Two whales, a male and a female, were swimming side by side in the ocean. Suddenly, the male whale spots a ship in the distance. He recognises it as The whaling ship that killed his father. Filled with anger, he says to his female companion, "That's the ship that Killed my father! Let's swim closer!" When they were close enough, the male said, "Why don't we swim under the Ship and blow air through our blow holes and break the ship into a million Pieces? That will be sweet revenge." And the female agreed to this. So they each took a deep breath of air, swam under the ship, and blew Enormous amounts of air under the ship. The ship flew into the air and Cra…

Now I know it is not everyones cup of tea, but I have been riding a BT1100 bulldog (02 Plate) for 4 years now, it is great fun and I have become emotionally attached to it - it has caused much marital discord at home!! Sadly it became rather unwell recently when the starter clutch seized, this was repeaired in time for the IOM TT but sadly whilst over the pond she failed again. and the AA had to get me back home. When it was taken apart I was informed that the cam shaft had snapped. Has anyone else had this heppen to them and could this be linked to the worked done on the starter clutch (completed by a Yamaha dealer using genuine parts)? As it occured 3 days after the ya…

  18. Oh been out today, the missus had taken the kids to a party and would be gone for 3-4 hours, was it work. No, was it football, No. It was Bike keys. 150 miles and 2 tanks of gas later i'm buzzing, no dual carriage ways, no motorways just sweet A and B roads and a blast on the new Bedford ring which is just perfect, new tarmac and roundabouts with minimal traffic. Sweet, the bike is still cooling down outside pinging contentedly to its self. The title? They will never experience the sound of a 2stroke twin having the throttle nailed, the knife edge power that has the tail breaking out. Its almost erotic the howl, the airbox. No 4 stroke will ever come close. …
