Hi there! You folk haven't heard the best yet, as far as YBR box & clutch related issues go... ready.? Sitting comfortably..? Once upon a time, very recently in fact... Still ongoing tbh..! I decided to try and sort out my 'disappearing neutral' as it was more annoying than anything else... Yammy YBR's are lovely, lightweight, easy going commuters.. Anyhoo.. it took an oil change and chain slack adjustment to fix that, fair enough you think, Oooh no, yammy had other plans.. And before anyone harps on about newbies not knowing their arse from their elbow, I've been really gentle on the gear peg, as I got it bent and was told neutral 'was there somewhere'…

Hey all. This morning on my way home, my seat felt quite hard. It was only my 5th ride on my bike and the seat is 17 years old, so i was thinking about buying a replacement seat. After searching google, it seems these are quite hard to find, or i'm looking for the wrong thing. Can anyone recommend a good comfy seat for my SR125? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, long time no see, I finally upgraded my trusty steed, and then my course of electronics curse jumped bikes. So I have a '99 Thundercat about 60k miles on the clock, she was running okay and I added a LED strip, after a few more months the battery started dying on the regular. so I disconnected the strip but the problem persists, Bought a new battery, same problem, I have tested voltage when running at 3000 rpm and higher and there is an increase to the battery, so it doesn't seem to be the regulator or stator. There is no draw when the ignition is off. The only problem I can seem to find is when I have my headlight on, the voltages stead…

I work from home during the week and most of the times look forward to the 85 mile blast to the office. 25 miles in, while passing a few trucks in the outside lane this morning, the throttle cable in the grip decided to give the ghost. Interesting to say the least, managed to coast inbetween 2 trucks to the inside lane with the usual, as friendly as, hand signals to say the bike was toast and came to a stop on the inside of a merging slip road up ahead. Luckily it was the grip end, just broken after the little lead crimp, and not in the junction box under the tank. Still weighing up my options it looked like I was fooked where I was and leaving the bike be…

Hi All, My name is Peter and I have got a Vfr 750 for 5 years and I am in a process to have a look and possibly buy a 2002 TDM 900. What are the things I should look out? I do my own maintenance including valve clearance and almost everything on the bike. Is the reg/rec a problem on this bike? What about the cam chain tensioner? Is it durable and trusty part or needs changing every x miles? I had a cbr600 and the tensioner on that was awful. Apart from that I know the usual things to look out. I am sorry if thia has been discussed many times, but I used the search button and nothing came up. Thank you, Peter

Afternoon all. Well I think I broken it Hopefully something and nothing but as I was coming home at 23:00 down the M56 last night the boy didn’t sound to be fully on song and I noticed that the lights slightly flickering on the dash then I saw 2 or 3 white flashes near my right knee and that was it he decided to have a sleep I was in lane 3 and was passing a couple of cars so I backed off a tad to fall behind the cars then i coasted across to a slip road with no hard shoulder and parked it in the widest part which was about twice the width of the bike and sat on the barriers and called recovery , got it home but I haven’t got a clue where to start. …

Prepped my boys Virago in readiness for an MoT (booked for tomorrow,) He started a new job in April and has been on training so no time for bikes. His bike has sat in the shed since last year. Replaced front brake fluid and cleaned and adjusted rear drum brake. checked all lights work, checked spokes on wheels and fork seals. Didn't check steering head bearings as no centre stand and I was on my own but took it a wee run and they felt fine, so should be good to go tomorrow

I have a 1983 DT125 with 1100 miles on it. I notice from the Haynes manual it needs 10 40 oil in the engine/gearbox. I have synthetic 10/40, will that be ok or does an old bike like this need mineral oil ? Be great if anyone can help with this.-Thanks, Nick

Ok, so HOW many times do we hear the pub championship winning tw@ say he has saved 3grammes from fitting a different headlight bulb. They say losing a bit of weight makes all the difference, well after that diabetic business I had/have/er? anyway. From October I am now a trim 75kg, (around 12st). That's over 4 stone down. Now this year my bike has felt a lot quicker, initially I had to change the suspension preload by quite a lot and it certainly goes a damn sight better. I thought my cock up fitting those wheels with a 40 instead of a 44 tooth sprocket would be on my to do list. Not a bit of it, pulls it fine now I have got rid of the flab. That got me wo…

Hi guys. Looking at trying to get a tiny bit more speed out of my fizzy. Heard people talking about removing the baffel out of the exhaust. How do I do this? Any links? I don’t want to do any damage and normally I just look on YouTube for any problems that I need solving. Can’t find any baffel vids for a Fs1e on you tube. Please help guys.

Hi guys, im sorry if this post isn't supposed to be here, but right now I just sat down with a beer trying to figure what the hell is going on with my yamaha. Ive had issues from day focking 1 with this bike and today the damn bike broke down on me after sitting in the sun for a few hours (it was quite hot). I rode it to work this morning, no problems, rode home, no problems. Since the weather were good I left it outside while eating dinner, but when I was ready to set off, it fired up like normal, but died pretty quick. Id say it ran for about 5 sec and then died. She did NOT want to start after that, and it didn't prime the fuel pump when I turned on the ignition …

following on from a few topics on here, and on a couple of other forums i am on, i am going to start a ''ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP'' thread. i have read a few topics about people needing things done to their vehicle but due to the owners lack of ability or knowledge or confidence then they have either put the work off and made it worse or sent it to a garage to get the work done. for example one of the guys on a off roading forum i am on wanted to fit a lift kit to his car, springs, spacers, new shocks. i have done it and he is only a few miles away, he was quoted just shy of £400 to get it fitted. after some discussion i said i was happy to help him fit it if he came…

It's been a while since I started a new post, so thought I'd share my new toy! Picked it up last week, I'm 30 this year so I thought balls to it and had a brand new bike. Gone for the new speed twin... Pics attached. All I'll say is that it's awesome, torque for days, nice and easy to ride - even at a spirited pace Sorry it's not a yam [emoji851] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
