I'm thinking about turning my bedroom into a microbrewery. I've always fancied having a go but I am a complete novice. I imagine brewing wine would be the easiest? I've been looking at wine kits on-line and it seems cheap enough, the only doubt I have is the quality of the finished product. Also I would think it takes a lot of time, effort, and mess, is it worth it all?

Just noticed this morning that one of my my indicator bulbs was out and I was searching online to see what the law against riding with a blown bulb but didn't really find anything solid. I recall during my CBT, the instructor said that it's still legal to ride providing you use hand signals. I know the best course of action here is to get the bulb replaced as soon as possible, just really bad timing. I'll have to ride early tomorrow morning and back home at night one more time before I can replace them. So I'm wondering what the law is with riding only using hand signals for a period of time and if that applies to night time riding too.

ok this will sound daft but it has made a big difference. My dt has the traditionally poor headlight. Your ok if its just you but oncoming cars, esp new ones with the stupidly bright dip beam destroy your night vision. Leaving you blind for a bit. My helmet has one of those built in tinted visors you can slide down. Din't know why but i used it this morning when a car came at me lights blazing, there i am 4am with a tinted visor. Fuck me what a difference. So much better. It saves so much of your night vision its amazing. You really can see far better even with having to faf about moving it up and down. You will all think i'm nuts unless youtry it.

Wednesday night I was riding home from work and the temperature light came on, I rode it anyway and it cut out, so I then waited for it to cool and rode at about 10mph on the way back. Got home and chucked a load of water on it and it all steamed up. Found out I had a coolant leak and so I whacked some water in and you could literally here the engine cool. I tryed starting about 20 minutes later and it seemed fine so I took it on a 10 minute ride then locked it up in my garage That night the temp went to -1 c and when I tryed starting I eventually ran down my battery and I was trying kick start for about half hour. This morning I put a blanket over it overnight bu…

Right this may sound like a dumb question but here goes as I am a novice. I have a Virago 750 which I recently bought and am still taking lessons for my full licence. I have got the hang of putting the bike on it's main stand but I am having trouble taking it off! Bear in mind that i am only 5'4" tall and weigh in at just under 8 stone! (lightweight biker that's for sure) At the moment i am getting it off the main stand by sitting on it and rocking it forward. I have tried standing to the left side of it to take it off but I am nervous about dropping it onto the right as I seem to be forcing it forward and away from me. I would hate to damage all that chrome so have any o…

I have been offered a Duke 996 from a friend of a friend, and to be honest I know nothing of these bikes except that they are Italian and probably have the worlds worst electrics, it's been left out in this guys back garden where it has become the home for various woodland animals and the odd weed and bush growing through it for the last 3 years. He is going to give this thing to me as it is in a bit of a state, well it would be really as it's out in the heart of the cotswolds and the weather is anything but clement and 3 years of winter and rain have taken a toll on the various bits of plastic and other gubbings attached to it. It was running when he walked away from it …

Hey everyone, Now that the demand for T-shirts has died done somewhat, I remember earlier i put this idea forward sorta jokingly at first, but im actually seeing it as a possibility now and was wondering what your thoughts would be. Basically i was thinking of putting together a YOC calender, it will have to be for 2014 as we are very nearly into 2013 and it would also give us the entire year of 2013 to gather the nescessary input, idea being that the photos and artwork for each month are posted in from our beloved members, formed into a calender and used to decorate your man cave, house, workplace or shed. the prices from vistaprint would be £6 for a wall cal…

Hi guys, just to let you know that we have just implemented a CDN (Content distribution network) for the server. What this essentially does is mirror the static files on the server across other servers all around the world. This means that your computer will connect to the nearest server hopefully giving you a far quicker connection. Let me know how it goes :-)

Hi, I'm planning to visit my son in Wellington, wondering to buy an veteran used XT600 (around NZ$ 4.000 including WOF, on road costs, taxes) to start a journey around the country. It's possibly to do that beeing an overseas visitor? Afterwards I will give the XT to my son as a gift. Thanks a lot!
