This poll applies to 600cc & over Supersports bikes such as Fireblades, R1's, R6's GSXR's etc. When I was at RAF Kinloss in 2006 I did a BIKESAFE course with the Grampian Police, and I had been riding 11 years at the time but I learnt alot about riding at speed but much safer, and the police bikers were a good bunch of lads, I recommend this course to any biker of any age. http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/

Sorry if you have read this in workshops. My cat was fine with the exception of the choke not functioning. I left it a couple of days and I had trouble starting it I opened the choke and the choke seemed to work for a while great I thought, but ever since it misses in low revs, motorway and excelleration is fine. If I am riding under 40 it hessitates. any ideas

Hi, I am a student researcher working with a major motorcycle manufacturing company. I wanted your general opinion regarding preferences of a heavyweight motorcyclist (+ 651cc). There is not much research done on motorcyclists & their preferences. I am a motorcyclist myself, I chose this topic as generally companies apply the same approach to motorcyclists as they do to car owners, but, I beg to differ, but, I do need your opinions. If you could please complete the questionnaire by clicking the link below, it won’t take more than 3-5 minutes of your time. Thank you. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=fGXX...VfVlh4VlA_3d_3d If you have any questions, co…

O.K. I admit to doing clutchless gear changes going UP through the box. I find it gives a smoother change and no chance of finding a false neutral. My mate 'UP.YOURS' and fellow Y.O.C. member struggles to do them. Mind you - hes only just learnt to eat with a knife and fork. Does anyone else do cluthless changes? ATB J

Hi All, I am new to this site and as you may work out, not very technically/mechanically knowledgable, however would appreciate any assistance you guys can give me. I have owned a Fazer 600 (2002 model) since October 06 and have recently stripped it down in order to give it some much needed TLC. Currently the frame etc is off for powder coating and I look forward to putting it back together when it comes back. I will need some to replace some parts though and wondered if I can get any info from you about this.... I will be needing various bolts from around the bike, as well as other more standard items such as filters and chain/sprocket set etc etc. I will also n…

hey peeps, me again, come to pick your brains in regards to my slovak warhorse problems... basically ive narrowed down the charging problem to the alternator, more specifically the rotor, which is not magnetising as it should and therefore not generating the nescessary current to charge the battery... as i understand it the alternator rotor is not a permanent magnet, but it is an electromagnet which is magnetised using the vehicles battery, and this sems to be where my alternator is failing. now the question... Is it possible to run a cable directly from the battery to the alternator rotor to manually excite it so i can check for an output? of coa…

Topic title/description is self explanatory, but does anybody know of any mobile tyre fitters as it is very difficult, if not impossible to just pull into a bike dealers and get a tyre fitted unlike a car that can just arrive at at Kwik-fit etc and get four tyres done while you wait. If my mate BWJ can come up with a solution I will tell him the joke about Tupperware making brassiere's.

hey peeps, not long now until i can take my full test and ditch the DT for something with a bit more poke, but is it simply a case of doing the theory and then taking the practical test or is it similar to a car where you take loads of lessons before taking your test? - Steve
