I have a 2010 XT125X - and noticed from day one that the dash clock runs about 2mins slow a day. I contacted Yamaha UK who showed practically no interest in this issue stating that 'it was standard' on these models!! Has anyone else noticed this issue and would anyone else like to make comment about how a multinational technology giant cannot even fit a clock that keeps time to their products? Should I just drop the issue or pursue it? Any comments welcome.

Hi. I've had a warm welcome and some sound advice on this members' club since I joined a few days ago, and so I've come back for more. Everyone that responded to my previous post on here has encouraged me - at the ripe old age of 61 - to "go for it" and to buy the Dragstar Classic 650 cc that I've had my eye on since passing my test last summer. Trouble is I've now seen a 2004 Dragstar Classic 1100 cc for a very good price and it's in mint condition. Given that I passed my DAS test on a Kawasaki 500 cc and have since been riding a Daelim Daystar 150 cc every day is the jump in engine size to 1100 cc a completely daft idea? It seems that there is very little in it whe…

Hiya. Here's the back story. I'm 61 years young. As a 60th birthday present to myself I decided to learn how to ride a motorbike. Best decision I've made in a while. I passed my test on a Kawasaki 500 cc back home in Wales last summer, and since then I've fallen head over heels in love with a Yamaha Dragstar Classic 650 cc. Can't keep my eyes off her. The wife's getting worried. Meanwhile, having taken the compulsory 2B motorbike test out here in Singapore, I now ride a Daelim Daystar 150cc to work every day and so, slowly but surely, my riding skills are improving. So, here's the 64,000 dollar question before I go and make a complete fool of myself: sho…

Anyone out there from the Pacific Northwest of the USA? I am a dead serious biker. I ride a modified 1980 XS650. I also have a 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport. Not interested in posers, wannabes, sneerers or Harley riders with attitudes. Harley riders without attitudes welcome. If you don't know about XS650s or that Triumph is back in business and has been for at least 15 years don't contact this dude. Other than that I'm easy to get along with.

This is just a quick post to say hi. My name is Ed and I'm from Newcastle. I have recently upgraded from an SR125 (which I have stripped and kept rolling even though it is nearing its end) to an FZR600. I look forward to chatting bikes with like minded people and you never know, maybe there will be someone like me who I can help out with some SR problem advice Thanks Ed

Hello all. My name is Cameron; I am from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I just bought my very first motorcycle: a 1973 Yamaha TX500. Just getting the gas tank de-rusted and lined so I won't have problems down the road with rust in the carburetors. In a week, when that's finished, I'll be bringing it in to safety and I'll get it on the road. Anyone have any tips on what to do to get it running well right off the bat? I know I should clean and sync the carbs... any tips regarding that? Thanks. Look forward to the help that is out there from other enthusiasts. -Cameron
