Hey guys, I have a 2001' Virago 250 which I drive every day. It has about 3,500k on it, and it seems like I have to tighten the chain every 200 or 300 miles, and I'm running out of adjustment. I adjusted it about 200 miles ago this time, and although it's not loose enough to be noisy, the play still moved from 1 & 1/2 inches to 1 & 3/4 inches. I'm just wondering what causes the chain to become loose so quickly. The adjusting stud has a nut and a locknut, and I of course tightened it up after adjustment and checked the adjustment in several different chain positions, all of which were correct (1 & 1/2"). I have a 97 Tour Deluxe. The previous owner changed the exh sys to an open pipe sys. My problem is that he did not rejet. Question. What size jets do I try first? Also at slow speed the bike wants to pull right is this normal? Thanks Cap N Moe.

Just joining in hopeing to find some anwsers to some modding questions. I've owned my 86 srx since 1986. Origional owner , 50000 miles . Yea its my toy now . Any way , will a 86 radian top triple tree fit on a srx ? Thanks

Hi, just to say hello to everyone, & thankyou for your time for giving any info/advise on any problems. My son has a xv125, & it's left with me to do any repairs & maintenance !!! while he spends his time at uni !! manage most things, but there are some things we all need advice on, especially as there seems to be no workshop manuals available for this model well i have posted a queation, & look forward to getting the replies to help me keeping his bike in a sound & safe roadworthy condition. Just popped in to say hello I'm Stu from Cheshire ride is 04 plate FZ6 Fazer when it's behaving that is, not really had much experience though rode as a kid on dirt bikes as yeh do, bit bullit and passed my test 2004 and bought the Fazeras as new. which the wife as been after me sellin since then. new guy on the block here after 8 long years of no bike just purchased a 78 dt250 project bike it's a little rough but should great with some tlc started engine teardown last night and sent cyl to machine shop today A little about myself I am a licensed automotive tech with a long history of fixing toys and anything with a engine and a deep knowledge of auto electronics I am willing to help where I can just read up on the dt 12v conversion and was previously debating it myself if you want even brighter lights with less power draw just switch to LED signals and taillights which are now available fairly cheap

Well just joined and thought i should introduce myself. Name is Mick and i am 46 years old. I had many strokers back in the early 80s from a FS1E, RS 100, Kawasaki kh125 and KH 750, Yam Rd 250lc and numerous others. Well just got back into riding again about 6 months ago and am determined to find another fast stroker when i pass my test. Hi everyone, seems like there are more than a few small displacement yamaha owners here so I thought I would join up and see i I can get some help with mine. I'm picking up what I think is a yamaha YB100 on the weekend and it needs a few small things to make it a little safer on the road. first of all, can anyone tell me if I'm right about the model name? I've seen bikes similar to this call a whole bunch of different things so I want to make sure I'm getting the right parts for it. I'm in canada if that helps identify it. second, tire recommendations? third, where can I get brakes, carb rebuild kit, and fork seals? thanks!

Hi guys, Leaky here and I have a large number of RD350LCs and a couple of YPVSs cluttering the workshop... One of them runs too - the YPVS hybrid that is an unfaired and TZR-clocked F1 with Kwaka' KR1 running gear, a Metmachex swinger and a pair of shiny Gibson pipes. Hey all.. Very glad to be on here. I recently crashed my black and gold R125 and am now fully recovered. The Right side is rufled up... the brake lever is severly bent.. Also i have no more front indicators... Other than that.. the bike is as sexy as ever. Anybody in the lodnon are or a guardian PLEASE to help me grectify this for the sun which is streaming through the window. I doubt im gonna get anything faster. The crash scared me a little. I think ill abuse the power of a bigger engine. Anybody.. please, help me out... Reccomend somthing to me. ANYTHING... its just sitting there...LOL

Hi folks, Im just back into bikes after a 2 year break. Just picked up a 96 Thundercat last week and rode it home 130 miles from Durham. Thought it would have been a kinda sensible choice after having been off for a wee bit. Got home no probs, but the clutch is now giving me hell on earth!!!!! Managed to change the plates, tried to adjust it after putting it all back together, but the lever is either solid or flapping.... Does anyone have any ideas, Have i tightened the springs too much, or just been an eejit n missed something more simple? Cant wait to get out at every opportunity!! hi ive got a yamaha xt 125 (08) i just got a k&n cone air filter and went and put it on and it worked but the air box was still drawing air in and its got a feed straight to engine can i take the air box out and what do i do with it lol please help
