Hello.....First post to this forum I have YamahaaDrag starar classic so makes sense to be part of a club as i have a few questions..like how do i buy a heashieldld that fell off ( the bit that has 2 parts to it that links top to bottom...or did you find one on the road..LOL Anyway i hope this will be a good resorce and take care all.

Hi fellow bike fanatics. I am a new member, im 20 from essex in england! I am in trouble with my bike at the moment.. the engine on my Yamaha dt 125R 2004 seems to have siezed up. The enginge wont turn over even with a bumpstart, the back wheel stays locked. Is there any other way to test if the engine is siezed? I think I may need to take the engine off so I can send it away to be fixed, a full enginge rebuild is available on eBay for 300pounds. Any help or diagrams or step by step to taking the engine off.. I have all the tools etc.. Thanks!

my title has 1978 yz80, but the bike has 2 back shocks. I would tend to believe it is a gt80. Never-the-less, does anybody know if I can get away from the points and go to cdi, and would it be worth the effort? Thanks

Hi Guy's...and Gals! new to this forum, should collect a new (2k9 model-good deal) XJ6 diversion from my local dealer on the 7th may, cant wait not new to the divvy as i had one for about 9 months a year or so ago...acted like a nerd and changed it for a XTZ660, several problems later and i'm comin back to the fold we all learn by our mistakes, well some do good to be here... greetings to one and all i have just purchased my first big bike after passing my mod 2 test and lo what do i get but a 1991 pre diversion xj600, what a beast of a bike it is. however very heavy , does not like corners and so many issues with it i have decided not to ride it at all but strip it down completely and rebuild it from scratch lol so here i have a bike that works but very poorly so rather than run it into the round which i could do i have decided to use it to further my knowledge of bikes which is not extensive. but i do have a few friends who are practically experts to help me out. of course that does mean i will need to get a bike for me to use in the m…

Hey, so I just bought my first motorcycle, a 1980 Yamaha XS400 Special for $400. The guy I bought if from said that it ran on one cylinder only. He cleaned the carbs then it ran fine for a day, then went back to only one cylinder. I haven't been able to start it up, since the battery is dead, it's charging now. I don't know...anything, really, about motorcycles, so wish me luck. 1983 Yamaha Maxim 400. Besides the Clutch cable, what is the other cable for? that comes into the Clutch Lever Assembly. The reason I ask is that mine has come loose.

Hi, I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Daniel, username Denial. I have just got my first bike, a 1992 SR125 custom, and I am loving it. I am 39 and I think this is the start of my mid-life crisis!! I know nothing about bike maintenance but am willing to learn as much as possible. can any1 help?..iv got a dtr 125 1992 model,when i ride it the clutch is fine but after half hour or so the clutch push rod unsrews itself and i have no presure on the clucth lever,how can i stop it unsrewing itself?i dont no much about bikes so need has much help has possible.thanks

Hi All, just got my TDM 900 , a week ago. Such a suprise. I went into my Honda dealers with my Dullville, and it caught my eye. A thirty minute test ride later and , it came home with me. Its silver , with a Givi higher screen, and a givi rack and top box. Its sooooo, comfy, and a pleasure to ride. What I cant get over is , how good it is on fuel?????? I am an LGV/PCV Driving Instructor.My passion is Field Archery, and Motorcycles, (but not at the same time). My partner (female) rides a BMW f650. We live in Warrington Cheshire. We are both over 40. Hello folks. Picked up my 7th Yam last month and joined the Yamaha club tonight. Present bike is a TZR 50 rescued from under a pile of crap in some blokes garage. MOT failed today on the drive chain being too tight, a first for me but in all honesty it was the correct call by the garage. Sprocket set bought on ebay was 3 links too short! Live and learn. Just dropped a fix for the wee bikes digital speedo repair in the garage forum. Hope it will be of use to someone. Tuesday
