Hi, Bernie is me. Hello all! Due to blah blah blah.. I find myself relegated to a '96 divvy 600s. 'WOW!' I hear you say. Surprised as I am as with it's happy going, neutrality of steering; I find the thing a bit, well 'all over the shop' when 'pressing on'. (6800 miles, serviced, sweet running, apart from the rattle) I understand that I really need something else, but recession says no. and I kinda like it too... Can anyone of you good people advise/recommend a suspension upgrade? Is it not worth it? maybe engine/carb tweaks are expensive/inneffectual? I don't mind a few quid on forks and Hagons/WP/Ohlinswhatever as long as I don't have to give Tony Scott,Stan or even …

well wot can i say ive not riden a bike for well over ten years and my last bike was a gp100 but ive just bought my first bike in all that time and im loving it but its going to take some time to get use to riding as my thumbs are still killing me after such a short ride home and im loving the pop and bangs sounds better than my skyline and yes i no the paint work is out of date before you tell me but i think its the only 1 in bristol and its had a few owners so im guessing it may be a members old bike

G'day all, I've been lurking around here for a while now so it's about time i did my intro seeing as i recently purchased a bike ( SR 250 ). I'm 53 years old, live in Melbourne Australia. Just getting back into motorcycling after approx 30 years. I've just replaced the exhaust on the bike with a much more free flowing unit which required a bit of adjustment to carby ( needle height ) however engine is still stalling when stopping with clutch in. I've decided to leave this as i've just pulled the clutch out as it is slipping. I know i shouldn't do an intro and ask questions at the same time, however i noticed when i drained the oil that it was filled with way mo…

Hi all. I started on bikes at 16 but by 18 turn in to a tin box owner.Came back to bikes in 1991 and passed bike test in 1995.First bike was a 1978 Suzuki GS 400 twin followed by a GSX600F (teapot) to my current bikes aGSF600S Bandit and a Gsx 1400.With deep regret the 1400 has now been part ex due to a new roof needed for the house.On the up side I part ex for cash and a 1978 Xs 250.This is the first Yammy I have owned and am looking forward to the expierience.

Hi All, As per the title, a big hello from this Scotsman in North Yorks. My 2011 YBR 125 is being delivered tomorrow and from my experience of cars, I think its always best to join an owners forum so that you can help others if possible, and in-turn, get the best advice around from like minded people. I've been riding for about 10 years but only on a CBT with bikes of 125cc. I've just re-done my CBT and really enjoyed it. My YBR should be a good practice machine and I definitely want to do my test in July when I'm on holiday from work. Maybe a dirty word around here but I have my eye on one of the new Kawasaki ER-6Fs. Anyway, I just thought it'd be good manners …

Hi all just joined because i need a little bit of help identifying a old Yamaha I have just brought. I know very little about it other than it has disc brakes front and back the rear shock sits under the tank it appears to be a twin cylinder because of 2 coils mounted to the frame, also the rear swing arm is aluminium and the front of the frame is not. Here are a few pictures Any help would be great thanks Tom.

New to the site. I have a 1982 Maxim XS 400 J. I've owned it since 86. It sat the last couple years since I upgraded to a bigger cruiser and needs a little bit of tweeking to get running sweet again, so that's why I joined this site. Hi all, I'm Tony from Italy. I've bought a FZ400R 46x(1986) full working and I'm loving it. I've planned to restoring it to the original version, I need just the terminal exhaust and the original color. All the parts are stock I'm also trying to guess the correct position of fuel petcock.
