Hi There, I have decided to get another bike, been without for 20 or so years having had a several DT & IT 175's back in the early 80's. I had a QZ 250e quad for 2 years which as fun but did not really scratch the itch for a bike so i have decided to get myself something approaching classic which i can restore, ride and enjoy. I am thinking a 79-81 DT250 MX as i have always wanted one since riding one when i was 16.

Hey Everyone, Im new to this forum. Have just purchased a 59 plate XJ6N. Picked it up today actually. Really nice ride home and then I went out on a nice route with a friend who has a bandit. Currently thinking about upgrading the tail side fairings (to body coloured (yellow in my case)), fitting a tail tidy, some nice levers and maybe handlebars. Really happy with the bike. Much faster and more comfortable than my MT-03. I live in the Chester area of England, UK. Adam_Fozz

Hi all, I'm new to the world of forums really, so a bit to learn probably. I'm not new to Yamahas though as i've owned a few, in order (starting in 1983, shows my age mind )a 1977 Fs1E,1984 RD125Lc, RD80LC,XJ550,FZR1000EXUP,YZF-R1(1999) and most recently a 2006 50th anniversary R1 which i've owned from new and love it. I've also owned a GSXR750 and a Kawasaki ZX7R (which tried to kill me with an almighty tank slapper,so 1st and last Kwaka thanks ) the Suzuki was ok but I do like my Yamahas. I do track days and have done since 2000 and I must say that it is without a doubt the best fun I've ever had on 2 wheels... cheers for now, Paul.

Hi, this is weird, as I was sure I'd put a post in here already! I'm Stiggy, from just outside Brighton in the South, I'm 39, married with 2 kids, one is 8 and one is 20 this month and has cerebral palsy. I have been riding since I was 15, and used to ride out with Annwn BC, Weiland and others around the South coast. A few years ago I bought an old XJ600 pre-diversion and Squire bullet type sidecar, so I could take my oldest out eventually. I intend on adding bits to improve his safety and comfort. I also have a CB750 chop in the garage that needs a few new valves - nothing too bad! My old favourite bike was my GS650 rat, which won a rally prize for wo…

Hi guys just bought a Yamaha Virgao 125, the milieage is 1300, reg 99. The bike is in the superb condition i started it in my garage probably more than ten times on numerous occassion, works perfect. But the other day it just stoppped starting. it ticks over makes the noise but the bike would not start. The lights and other tings come on. Even tried using a bike battery charger and filled up the tank too. I don't have a clue about bikes. Plus I was looking for a kick-start but the Virago doesn't have one All help would be appreciated, plus someone recommended that i check the spark plugs to see if i've flooded the engine, or if they're dirty. Hi All Hopefully one of you guys maybe able to help....I am having problems starting the DragStar...had the electric starter motor changed, about two years ago and it cost nearly £700 to replace...the bloody thing has gone again, I think! When I try to start the bike it just clicks....it tried to fire once but it was a really lame attempt! Does anyone have any ideas, other than throw the bloody thing in the Thames...what can be done or if a non-Yamaha part can be used to replace it? We went for the Yamaha part before, because we thought it would last longer, but it hasn't! I used my bike everyday to go to and from work and it has really dropped me in the crapper, by …

Hi Ladies & Gents, I have just started riding again after about 15 years. I was riding 125`s and yesterday I passed my Mod 2 bike test. As well as my Honda CBR 125 R, I have a YZF R6 that`s been waiting patiently in my garage. Now that I have passed I cant wait to get out & about on it, but I'm having a bit of bother with the alarm system, so I hoping that I may get some help, as well as making new friend and some good o`l banter. Ride Safe Be Safe Kind Regards Ed Maguire

Hi, Just thought i'd introduce myself. Passed my full bike license last summer and bought a divvy which done me proud through the winter. Moved up to a fazer recently and loving it. Bike is my only mode of transport so i'm riding in all weathers, can't imagine going back to boring old cars. Anyway, looking forward to enjoying the chat on the forum. Thanks Kenny
