Hello, I am Mark. I have recently bought a Yamaha XVS125 after my 'wannabe' Daelim Daystar was stolen and torched. I am, however, extremely happy with the new bike and will be looking to buy something similar but bigger for the summer. I use the bike to get between University and work everyday as juggling the two can be quite stressful with 10 miles between. Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself and hopefully my vague mechanical experience can be of some use to someone. Thanks. Mark

Hi, Brief intro... I'm on my 3rd Yamaha now since i started riding a neos scooter at 16, i thrashed the hell out of it and it was faster than my mates and never blew up yet their 50's contantly did so this made me a yamaha loyal. 2nd was a YBR 125, good on fuel but boring as hell, that got stolen and i didn't even have cover for theft, so that was more than annoying. i'm now i'm on a DT 125 LC mk 2 that i bought the other day stripped down wire brushed and sanded all the crappy old flakey paint and rust off, repainted, fresh bolted and restored the plastics. It had apparently had an engine rebuild 35miles ago so i didn't bother touching the engine, 26miles into…

Hey, Greg here from WNY, hoping to meet some people on here that can help educate me on my motorcycle. I have a '77 xs360 that has seen better days, but it still runs and looks pretty good for its age. Clearly been dumped a couple times (before I owned it), and needs some lovin'. I only paid $30 for it, and put maybe $300 into a new battery, cleaning it out, rebuilding the carbs, etc. I love the fact that everything I have personally done to fix this little pony was done using either the tools it came with or my swiss army knife, lol. Anyway, wanted to post on here to say hi to everyone and hope that I can start learning more and someday know enough to help out future …

Hi everybody!!! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a newby to this website and the motorcycle world. So I got my license by taking a safety course a few months back. I've always wanted to try riding, and I really enjoyed the course, so I decided to get a bike. I'm a student so cash is tight, but I found an old Yamaha xs400sg that I thought was in good shape. Thinking back I paid too much, since I didn't know a thing about bikes. And seeing as how I've spent about 300 on fixing it up... But anyway, I like the bike I think it is a great starter bike. But I'm still in the middle of fixing her up. Since this is my first time, I'm having some difficulties, bu…

Hi everyone, figured id drop in and introduce myself. This is my '78 Yamaha XS400. It is my first motorcycle. I got it from a neighbor for free(+$70 for a set of new Avon tires), and plan on fixing it up and turn the styling towards "street fighter." The master cylinder is broken, clutch cable seems to be disconnected or something, it probably needs to be completely rewired since the fusebox is currently in an Altoids tin, and it starts to turn over--but not quite and pours gas out when trying to start(likely a carb issue i think), but I do believe it was running before it was parked because of the master cyl. Its been sitting in my garage for a month or t…
