Hello i have just bought a 2008 R1 in blue with gold alloys. Got what i think is a good deal. 4580 on the clock, with Akra sp series, i think its an official yam double bubble screen, tail tidy, rear light with built in indicators and brand new corsa III for £6500. Im coming from a ZX6R 2007 model and have tried two different R1's a 2007 which felt jerky and unresponsive, and the 2008 that i have bought which was smooth and fun to ride. Is anyone going to the thundersprint

hello everyone my name is steve, i have just bought a 1995 model ttr 250 raid i think it is a great bike just the way it is but i would like to do some small mods to it, i would like to replace the large ugly round headlight with a newer style smaller square one and also either an aftermarket exhaust or remove the baffles from the standard one could anyone please give me some suggestions,it would be much appreciated thanks steve

I'm after the rubber that connects the carb to the air filter where's the best place to get one? How does the old rubber come out does anyone know? Thanks Beefy

Lucked out last August when a good friend sold me a solid 1985 XJ900n. It a naked bike, but I would like to get a small screen. Part of the deal was that I also take away an almost complete 84 model 900. Thinking of full restore of existing "n" model and maybe rebuiulding the other as a club day track bike.

I just bought my first bike for from a farmer in Wisconsin. A blue 1975 RD200 with 1200 miles. The bike is in great condition, no rust even original tires. Looks brand new, was sitting a barn for 20 some years. I stared it and turned over, but stared making a loud squealing noise. It is really a cool bike so I just had to have it. The farmer sold it to me for $200 because of the strange noise the engine was making. I hope it did not waste my money. Just wondering if anyone knows what might be the problem and how much to fix? Also, what it might be worth after it is runnning smoothly. I hope to ride it this summer. Thanks!

hi all, after many years of having fun as a pillion decided it was time to become the pilot. I took my CBT in April 10 and decided to purchase a new shiny YBR125. What a fun machine, only just done 900miles as due to an op was unable to ride for a bit, but back in the seat now and slowly preparing for my test. I have passed my theory and contemplating my module one in the very near future.

Unfortunately I bought a fecked up bike, it took myself about 8-12 months work to fix this bike, at the time I was studying for a degree in engineering and found that fixing the bike was helping me learn about engineering. The bike ran for a while until the neighbours brats decided that the bike is a play thing, bits went missing, bike was knocked over several times, paint work was wrecked and I was forced to use public transport. Hey all. I just purchased a 1983 Virago 750 Midnight Maxim. This is the first bike I have owned in 18 years. It is great to be back on a Yamaha. I live in Huntsville, Al. I am hoping that this club will be a good way to get help when my bike has troubles.

Just a quick HI. I have recently put a deposit on a 1985 XJ900F, red/black. Hope to pick it up next week! I had a 1981 XJ650 which I bought new and traded away in 2001. Always regretted that move, so when this bike turned up, I took the plunge. New battery and new rear tire help to ease the cost pain. Thanks for any advice which may come my way.
