...I'm new, obviously. Just bought a delicious XV. I caught the tuning/modding virus years ago, so I doubt it'll stay factory standard for too long. I've already been looking at swapping sprockets... Are the XV125 and the XV250 front sprockets interchangeable?

Hello all, I am new to biking and have just purchased a second hand Dragstar which I love. However, I have difficulty checking the oil. When the bike is upright it is nigh on impossible to see the oil glass because the exhaust is in the way. Can anyone please advise on this. Is it possible to check the oil any other way such as a dipstick. Thanks paul

[b]Hey Hey Hey! I'm a new member of Y-O-C and i need some help. I previously owned a 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6 but I got rear-ended sitting at a red light in traffic . I since then have bought a 1991 Yamaha FJ1200 and need some hints and tips. It's getting power and turns over but no fire, a friend of mine has a FZR-600 with the same computer so we did as any other like-minded person and tried it with no luck, still no fire. it was running when parked and has sat up for almost 3 years, any tips? any and all are accepted and appreciated. if you'd like to text/call and ask more questions feel free to send me a PM or Message and i will give the number. Thank you all!

Hi Everybody! My name is Glenn. New to this forum. I'm originally from Los Angeles, but have been living in lovely Michigan for 14 years. I've been riding for 32 years, and am about to purchase a 2006 Stratoliner Midnight Edition (used, with 5,800 miles). By all accounts this looks to be a fantastic ride (moving up from a '98 Honda Shadow ACE Tourer). I look forward to interacting with you. I've been perusing a lot of discussions about the Strat, and from what I've gleaned, my first purchases after taking delivery will be a Lindby Highway Bar, D & D slip-on exhaust, Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing (no stereo - yet) and a Rivco air horn set. I hope to learn a lot fr…

Hey Just signing on from North Vancouver, BC. I recently picked up 1982 Yamaha Maxim 400 in pretty good condition. Its my first street bike and im pretty excited to get started on it. Everytime I get a toy I always try to track down a good forum cause there is endless amounts of knowledge to be had on here. I have a couple questions right off the bat about the bike if anyone doesnt mind helping out. I bought it without side covers and a cover over the air filter (left side). So the air filter is exposed, is it critical to have that covered before riding? Im having alot of trouble finding any parts for this bike? Also where would I go about finding a repair manual?…

Hello ! I am new to this forum and have been a Yamaha nut for years! I am presently rebuilding a 1982 (?) DT 50. It is an enduro model, street legal with all lights etc. I bought it two weeks ago hoping I would be able to find a piston, reeds and gasket kit - one know where I would be able to find parts etc for this bike. I am in Canada and it seems that the DT was more popular in Europe - please help if you know where I can get parts. Thank you, Dan [email protected]
