Hello everyone, My name is John I live just outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I've wanted a motorcycle all my life. Now at 32 years old I got one!! I picked up a 1982 xs400rj. It needs a little TLC before its road ready and i plan on doing most of the work myself. With the help of a few friends and the local Yamaha dealer of course. I've heard it's a nice little easy starter bike to work on..Am I way off??!! Thanks All!! Johnny

Hello to all you proud Yamaha owners. My name is Steve And I live in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I grew up in the middle of Monatana and at around the age of 12 or 13 I was bitten by the Yamaha bug as my uncle moved home to Montana and opened a Yamaha dealership in my hometown. My first bike was cobbed together from his heap of scrap bikes out back and was a &^%$# step through trail 90. My next bike was a yamaha GT 80A that I put 4000 miles on riding on a 320 acre farm, and then a crash killed the speedo. From there I graduated to a shiney new out of the crate 1979 YZ 125 that I rode so hard I broke the frame back bone on it. Next up was a 1980 YZ 125 that I …

Hello all. Just joined up and just recently got a new 2010 VStar 650 Classic. Love the bike and look forward to checking out the forum posts around here. I don't do a whole lot of touring. I more or less just enjoy a ride in to work, or out to visit some friends and such on a nice day. Though I am thinking maybe a few day trips this summer would be fun, if I can sneak away from the family that is James.

New member, old rider here. My 22 yr old daughter has a 1988 Route 66 250, now called the Virago 250, which she never rides and wanted to sell. I rode it a few times and realized how much I miss riding, so I am buying it from her. Back when she was a newborn I had to give up riding, as it is difficult to transport an infant on a motorcycle! I sold my Kawasaki KZ550 shortly after she was born. The suburbs aren't really the best place to ride, so this bike is really just for errands and back street use. My son will be driving age in a few months, and this bike will be perfect for his commute to high school a mile from home, or to his friends houses nearby.

Thanks for giving your attention! Brand new poster here, living in Argyll Scotland, and trying to get my bike finished to enjoy all these backroads in super scenery, plus save on the Distilled Angels Tears now called petrol!! It's my first bike for some years, i picked up a Yamaha 660 Tenere, 1997, to find that they aren't too common, and i need an exhaust box....mine is probably the uncool and SQUARE version (nearly literally) and probably cheapest if i can find one, but maybe it'll have to be a racy modern version. My Tenere has no XT's Z's or X's with its name on the bike or log book. Anyone got one, or know of an after sales manufacturer, please? Ta
