Hey there, I'm Ricky. Recently brought to these forums by a mechanical problem with one of my bikes. I'm 18, been riding bikes for 4 or 5 years now, Started on a DT 125, progressed to an XT 400 (my favourite bike) I rather classic bikes than newer ones, hoping to meet some helpful people who are also into the older Yamaha's. Cheers, and hoping to meet some of you guys!

Hi after (too) many years on 4 wheels, I finally got back on to 2. A few weeks ago I bought a Dragstar 125 and love it. (In Bermuda the max capacity for a bike is 150cc; mind you the official speed limit is 22mph/35kmh). So, greetings from the small island in the middle of the ocean.

Hi Folks, Just sitting down with my first cuppa of the evening having ridden home on my first ever Yamaha (99 Fazer FZS600) ..... in fact, my first ever non 125cc bike I sold my great wee Vara 125 at 7pm and then went up to collect the Fazer at 8pm. It was a great feeling to pass on the Vara to another biker in the making while I was graduating to bigger (and faster) things!! I know this may seem like small potatoes to the experienced bikers on this site, but to this 37 yr old born again biker, riding home on a bike that seemed happiest in sixth gear (whatever that is) was roughly akin to man's first step on the moon, seeing my 4 children born and watching Rocky …

hi, I'm Tomas and have just recently bought a Yamaha RXS 100. What a brilliant it is ! It definately has this classic feel and look. However because of it's age (1989) it needs a little bit of tlc, so I'm realy looking forward to join this community and find out as much as possible about these lovely bikes

Greetings to all, especially the ladies! Made the jump, took the class, and now I have a bike! Today I just bought a set of bikes, a 1978 and a 1979 Yamaha XS400. One runs, the other is close to it. I agreed to take the spare bike in the transaction so I could learn how to do my own work and repairs, but not screw up my transportation in the process. I've been carless for a couple of years, thinking that would help the earth last a little longer... and now I'm tired of riding the crappy, late buses and powering a pedal bike. Ahhh..... the wind feels great! the '78 runs, but I think I'm going to have to bust right into the manual due to the starter button not cooperating w…

Greetings from Eastern Canada. My wife and I are the relatively new owners of two (one each) YZF1000R T/Aces. They are a fairly rare bike here in Canada which is one of the attractions. Here's hoping I can contribute and learn from this site.

Hi Thought I would join the forum to mark the return to the road of my 1977 dt100. It has spent the last 31 years in a shed I.last rode it in 1980! It looks pretty good,I took the time to grease all the chrome, oil in the tank etc to preserve it. Have a few issues to sort out, will be asking for some advice no doubt. Anyway I rode it today and it made me feel 30 years younger if nothing else.

Hello there. My 15 year old son has bought himself a YB100 that he wants to restore before his 17th birthday (06/09/12) so he can take it on the road in as near mint condition as he is able. Are there any recommended web sites we can visit for help and/or supplies? The trickiest thing I'm coming up against at hte moment are replacement decals; anyone any useful contacts for those, please? Also, where is the best/cheapest paint option? I'm loving watching him get his teeth into a real project with a visible end result. Who'd have thought my teenage son would show energy and drive?! The bike was bought as a runner but needs some reasonable anmount of work to g…
