Hey everyone, I am a new member. My name is Ryan. My wife and I both ride bikes. I have an 08 FZ1, and she rides an 01 YZF600R. Been riding on the street since 2004, but grew up on the dirt. Favorite place to ride is down around deals gap. Not big on the gap anymore due to all the traffic and cops since they put it on tv, but all the roads around it are great.

Dear all I'm new to this site so just testing the water with a couple of questions? Just bought a DT125LC. Lovely bike but lights intermittantly go from bright to dim and vice versa? Electrics are a 'black art' to me so does anyone know where the earthing points on frame are for this model (1983). As with most bikes of this age the wiring loom has been got at. To be honest i've purchased new looms in the past but now they are NLA so I'm stuck. If anyone has experience of this model or knows of a source of NOS parts I'd be very grateful of the support. All the best. Gary

How do! Thought I'd actually post on here for the first time, been reading the posts for ages! You seem like a (fairly) friendly lot! I've been on bikes since I can remember, got an old Suzuki GP125 (first ever bike) Yamaha YBR125, a Triumph 900 Sprint and currently got my eye on a Yamaha XJR 1300. Nice to meet you all! Benny

Hi there, recently bought a fzs 600 fazer 1998. I'm having a problem with 3rd to 6th gear between 6 and 7000 rpm. When I'm in 3rd gear I can slowly excelerate through 6 and 7000 rpm but the bike splutters. The higher the gear the worse it seems to be. 6th gear struggles to get past 7000 rpm at all. Work carried out on bike recently, as follows: New downpipes, oil filter, oil, spark plugs, spark plug caps, fuel filter, fuel cleaner, air filter, new carb inlet rubbers, chain and spockets, carb's stripped / cleaned and reset. Any help would be greatly appreciated, starting to pull my hair out. Many Thanks

Hello! I'm an ex yam rider (got shadow cruisers now - sorry for swearing), in all honesty trying to find out what happened to my old FZ750 so thought this could be the place to start! Probably eight or ten years ago when I lived in Yarmouth, thanks to a monsterously mental girlfriend, ended up moving away from the town and leaving my beloved black FZ 750 in a car workshop on Harfreys. Anyway, by the time (and that was quite some time) I was able to pull my stuff together and was able to visit Yarco again the workshop had closed down. I'm fully aware that I'll never get the old girl back but, after I'd had her all sprayed up, the fairing etc looked ace fr…

Hi, I'm Ollie, I'm 16 and I am hopefully going to soon own a 1982 Yamaha DT 125. I own several classic British motorcycles such as Matchless, Greeves, AJS, Velocette and Triumph. I will be making a post on the Yamaha after this so any help and advice would be great. Thanks, Ollie.

Hi Guys, Already posted on here but would be good to introduce myself. Just got a Dragstar classic my first cruiser after many years of more sportier bikes. My girls think I should grow a long beard and a pony tail now to go with my leathers lol. Been riding since 1981 and have always had a bike, am loving the cruiser feel and the enjoyment of not tearing everywhere (at least thats what it feels like) Thats it really - great Forum! cheers guys Trev

Hi, everyone, My name is Boogaloo Dan (not!) and I'd just like to say hello. I'm fifty-eight, have ridden all my 'adult' life (passed my test in '69 at the tender age of sixteen, and (big breath) have never owned a Japanese bike!). It's not that I ever thought of them as unworthy but when I picked up my first machine (a '68 BSA Starfire), I was told by the dealer (at Rusty's of Scunthorpe) to 'make the most of it, because there won't be a British motorcycle industry in five years...'. That kind of stuck with me. At the time my dad ran a CSR 650 Matchless, my mates all had British iron, and I'd just lost my girlfriend to Dave Dunk who owned... a twin cylind…
