hi all, new to this site, recently purchased a 1988 rxs 100 after passing my cbt, it needed a few things doing but was told it was a runner, however, won't start off the kick. its got good spark and compression. tried to bump start but just made angry growling noises, took the spark out and it was dry as a bone, poured some petrol down the spark plug whole, refited the spark plug and tried to bump her again, this time fired up but then quickly died, tried the same again several times, came to the conclusion that it must have blocked jets in the carb. so stripped down the carb, checked all the jets and needles, all seem ok and in good condition. re-asembled the carb, set…

Hi, i'm new to this site, i have a 1980 XS 250, it runs ok on centre stand but when you put it in gear and let the clutch out it just stalls, i have tried a couple of sets of carbs and still have the same problem, anybody have any ideas? Thanks Andy.

Well, I figured I'd come say hello! My (albeit short) story; I'm a new biker, bought a brand new '11 YBR125 last month and I'm loving it to bits! Hopefully I'll get another year from it before I itch for something bigger (suppressing it is going well) - I figure I'd wait until I'm 21 to move on. I'm here to meet people, have some laughs and learn from the vets! Peace.

thought i'd say hello, been riding for about 9 years passing my full test 4 yrs ago, first bike was a Aprilia Rally 50, then a new 2008 Honda 600 Hornet (it spent most or it's time locked in my garage) and now i have just bought (after selling the Hornet) a 2001 dt125r that needs some tlc. and i must say that i have made the right choice the dtr is FAB! Hello people, I've been lurking on the site for a month or so looking at threads and thought it was time to sign up and show my face. At the grand age of 32 I've finally decided to give 2 wheels a go and recently took my CBT. I'm now pottering around on a 2001 XVS125 Dragstar and I'm absolutely loving it! I'm sure that I'll have many silly questions as time goes on as I've always previously been car man. /Steve

Hallo Folks I own a Virago VX535 and it's a wonderful bike. Winter is here though so I'm bracing myself for the weather. I'm fairly new to the biking world, having had my licence since 1990 I spent many years without Transport. I bought the Virago in May. Hi folks, recently sold the R1, It was killing my wrists leaning over the tank all the time, (im not 20yrs old any more). So, i`v got myself a xvs 1100, 24000 on the clock, 2 lady owners, and a custom airbrush job on the tank, (which has got to go) its not really a guys thing, but it is very well done and it seems a pity to spray over it, i will try to upload a pic. Hi all! How is everyone? I need some help please!!! I have a Yamaha YBR 125 55 plate. I went out on her tonight and everything was fine until on the return journey home, i tried to put her into fourth gear and she just wasn't clicking in. So i reduced her speed and put her into second gear fine and then back up into third but when i tried again to put her in fourth it wouldn't go in. I have managed to get home safely and she is going down gears fine and into neutral but will not click into fourth. Can any one help to shed some light on this problem and how i may go about fixing it please. Many Thanks Sianny
