Just found the site and now owning 2 Yamaha's I thought it might be interesting to check out the help forums! A late reborn biker I have just bought an XT125 R which I recently took over to Bulgaria, an unbelievable off road bikers heaven, and have what appears to be a common problem with the speedo. So now for a search of the forums for help.

Hi, hi. So now I've joined the biking community, albeit a little later in life than most as I'm 28, but thought it was about time I joined a forum. Got myself a new YBR Custom back in May, had really wanted an XVS 125 as my first bike, but they are like gold dust! Was with the Mg-Rover.org forums when I had my previous car and it was great a resource and place to chat about people with interests, so I look forward to sharing stories with all you helpful folk. Jon.

Hows it going am a new biker passed my test this year and loving every minute being on two wheels, The unfortunate thing is I crashed last week on my fzs 600 and broke my collar bone. The good thing is that the bikes not that bad it will mend and so will I. Should get the bike sorted for less than £500 just a shame I'll need to spend at least that again on gear after the crash jacket helmet and trousers were wrecked but hey they kept me all together so money well spent..

Hi My name is Johnny and I own a YBR 125. (2009 on a '59 plate). Strawberry (the motorcycle) is named after the hansom cab horse in "The Magician's Nephew" who is give power of speech by Aslan the Lion and later the ability to fly. I bet you can't guess the colour of strawberry. After failing my DAS in 2007 by leaving the indicators on I decided to get a small bike to practise on. In February 2011 I passed my A2 bike test. I live in Bath but am originally from Cambridge here I spent my first 40 odd years regards Johnny and I have a question on where to get sprockets.

Hiya all. I just bought my first ever Yamaha. Its an SZR 660 Few reasons made me decide to plop for this. Firstly, that I just wanted to get a smaller single cylinder, or perhaps a V-Twin. I was not willing to go for an XV535 but certianly an 1100 maybe. I kind of fell in love with this bike when I frist saw its pictures. As stock, its not much, but this one has been modified in a few areas, exhaust, fairing, headlamps and handlebars are all gone and now it has a SuperMoto feel to it. The legs are bloody awfully cramped but the arms are just right. I no longer do any touring and wont see any time in the near to mid future where I will do, so the go…

Hello all - recently bought a 1976 V50P - fantastic fun - any other owners about, if so will update with pictures and news if interested. Currently undergoing a refurbishment during the winter. Waiting for the Isle of Wight ferry. Photo taken on a trip to the Isle of Wight - outside a very good pie shop.

Hi there, I'm new to the forum and was hoping to get some expert advice. I've just started using the DT again after about 3 months of it being stood. It rode fine for about 100 miles yesterday then when I took it out today after replacing spark plug, it went 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, N and nothing else! no grinding or funny noises, just a neutral where 5th gear should be. I changed the oil today afterwards but that's made no difference. It has also been slipping out of 2nd gear into neutral. I think it could be a selector fork but I won't know until I take her for surgery. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Pete
