Hi All I'm Neil and although I signed up a couple of weeks ago, this is the first chance I've had to sit and write an intro of sorts. After my car insurance was due last month I decided that it wasn't worth paying £500 or so to just drive a couple of miles to the station and back so I started looking for a cheap bike to buy. After being outbid on Ebay for a lovely Fs1e I wondered about doing my CBT. A chance visit to the ATC squadron where my son's a cadet I had a look at the staff sergeant's YB100 sitting in the garage. He kept it there so his mrs. didn't know he had it but it hadn't moved for about 6 months due to no MOT. A quick chat and a new ruling from…

Bought a YBR 125 custom second hand last year and loving it. Bike is sadly off road atm since someone backed into it but Im itching to get riding again. Hoping to get a license in the next couple of months and Im sure I'll end up upgrade to something a little beefier...

  5. Hi everyone I have just restored, for the first time, this beauty. Though for some of the more skilled tasks, I had to ask for help from the LBS. Just wondered where the best sources are for spares new and old is in the UK. Also, its colour - was it manufactured in any colours other than black and white? Cheers and safe riding!

Just bought my first project bike today. A 78 XS400. does not run the previous owner was in the process of making it into a Cafe. I am on the lookout for any Ideas on how and what you guys might recommend for making this bike a real Head turner. Wanna be able to take it to track days and out on the street as well. An info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I'm Marcus from up T'North Manchester, I say Oldboy (not that old really) coz I've been in the bike trade for what feels like forever.... probably should have joined this community a while back but, all things considered, you could say I was later than most where the internet is concerned, if that makes sense? Having bought another Yamaha recently I was hoping for a little advice in regards to an accessory but I won't mention that yet as I'm here to simply say Hi! I've owned a lot of different bikes over the last 20 years (all Jap apart from a new SYM last month), there are still bikes out there that I would love to own, Dragstar 650 next would be good…

Have had all types from BSA to Harleys to a superblackbird but love my xjr 'cos I can cruise or burn boy racers. 2. Yes, well, burning boy racers. Not so much now 'cos brain is only just keeping up with speed hahahaha. 3. We now live in Brittany. Decided to retire early from teaching in the UK (Wales) before I committed murder. 4. Her indoors enjoys riding pillion. I enjoy her as pillion because I can't hear her moaning. Shame they don't make intercoms for xjr's. No - they don't!! 5. Can't think of anything else except I have serious prob with bike. Will post quiery…
