Hi all new here and wondered if anyone can help. I am currently restoring a 1987 Yamaha DT 50 MX for my son, its coming together but wheels really rough and was looking for a spoke set 5J0 2510400 (front) I was informed this product is discontinued. I have tracked down a set of spokes in USA for a DT50 but does not state MX. The US part Number is 17W- 25104-00-00 I am worried this will be wrong thing as it just doesn't list a MX. Says it will fit 1988 DT50 L, 1988 DT50 LC, 1988 Enduro DT50 U, 1989 Enduro DT50 W, 1990 DT50 LC (CA ED) and a 1990 Enduro DT50 A Can anyone give me any guidance on different part numbers..... are 5J0 and 17W the same thing just different …

Hello, Name is John. Just bought a FZ1s 2006 reg.. Still the the Suzy SV650, called Eileen, I have had since Sept 2006. The SV and I have been through France and Spain on several occasions and never experienced any problems at all. I hope the FZ is going to be as reliable. It's the first Yam I have owned [or ridden]. I picked it up today. I love it!!

  9. Hi, I'm from Ottawa, Canada, where the temperature is at 0C/32F right now. ( Dec 8th.) I'm in my garage restoring a newly acquired 1976 XS500 to a pretty nice daily rider condition. I had a lot of bikes in my misspent youth. Started with a Honda Z50 (apparently a collectors item now! That's the funniest thing I ever heard.) then several Yamaha 2 stroke twins, then Suzuki fours: a GS550, 750 and 1100e. Somewhere in there, I commuted for a couple of summers on a Honda CB350, and briefly a CB400F. My last bike was a 1978 Ducati Darmah. No bikes for about 20 years and now a Yamaha XS500.. Why the XS500? Well I longed for a 70's bike, but many of them are now too …

Good morning XS500 owners. I'm new here and just acquired a 1978 Yamaha XS500 E. I wanted to add this bike to my collection because the XS500 was the first bike I ever owned and I remember the bike as being a great bike that served me well and was a lot of fun to own. I intend to fully restore the bike to its previous glory so help will very likely be needed and this looks like a good place to acquire the help I will need. Company has just come through the door so i will finish this introduction later. Rob

Hello all, I recently bought 86 Fazer FZX700. I got it for good deal and am currently pursuing parts to spruce it up. I think it's a great bike and can't wait til it's done and ready to do showing off.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and have a question. I've owned dirt bikes my whole life and just added another to my list of bikes that I've owned. I just bought a 2003 WR450 from somebody who told me it hasn't been started in four years, in storage, they also told me the electric start doesn't work, no biggie, so I bought a new plug and cleaned out the carb. I kicked this thing literally all day and started 4 times but only briefly. Is there some kind of trick to starting these things? I've never owned anything this new or big. Also is there two hot starts. I have one on a lever and one red knob. The bike only started after I messed with the red knob. Thanks.

Hi guys, just thought that I would say hello. Im new here, waiting on delivery of a Yamaha YB100. I gave in to pressure from friends that are constantly banging on about two strokes etc etc and how much fun they are. I never saw the attraction myself, and never thought that I would own one. Anyway, after a phone call from a friend over the weekend I ended up buying a 1983 Yamaha YB100. Not quite running, but my mate (phone call) assures me he can get her to live. Hes very good on the spaniards, so I trust him. Been riding for just over 10 years, and own a tuned ZX6R '07. Hopefully get the bike over the next week and then the work starts to get some…

Hi Had an RXS 100 a few years back -then kids got in the way lol. Started back with a cheap 125 last year and progressed onto the ZXR400 but always wanted an R6 . My Boyfriend has the R1. Finally I will be getting a 51 plate R6 tomorrow - needs engine fixing but not sure what is wrong yet. Couldn't bare to see it broken up for spares, hence a project for my boyfriend and me to get me onto it by the spring (I am 5ft 1 btw ) Am all excited :hyper: Jo
