hello all,as of today i've purchased a 2000 model R6 and the good thing about that for me is i'm finally back on 2 wheels after a lay off from september 2010. i had a kawasaki zx9r c model back then which i crashed on track which resulted in a broken arm.it never put me off but for financial reasons the bike had to go and i've not been able to afford one until now and i'm well pleased. there's a few issue's with the r6 so i'll be asking on here and hopefully get cracking with it,first issue is with the speedo so i'll get asking. :icon_biggrin:

Hey, I've been a member for a while, but life happened and the bike got put away before I could even ride it. My priorities have to change... Anyway, I've been reading the forum lately, and I'm anxious to get my 1970 R5 on the road! I cleaned it up a bit and did a few mechanical tasks, so she's getting there. I've got an electrical issue at this point, which is where my skill really tanks, so I hope to maybe get some input from you guys, and be in good shape. Thanks

Hi Folks, Just got myself a 1993 Divvy 600. Because it's old and I'm a muppet then doubtless I'll be on here picking your brains on how to fix the bits I break... Cheers, Ed F

  12. Started by Felis,

Hi Everyone, Just to introduce myself. I've just been very kindly donated a 1997 Dragstar 650 as a clean-it-up-and-get-it-started project in my shed. I'm not actively riding at the moment for health reasons, but hope to be able to take this bike around the block in the future. I have zero mechanical skills apart from lubing a chain - and I can't even do that on this bike! Well, first thing to do will be to get a new battery and sort out the fuses...but I'll get going with that on the other threads. So, this seems like a friendly forum and I look forward to finding step-by-step instructions on everything in these threads. Cheers.

Hello to all, I'm the happy owner of a 1976 360 xs and live in Los Angeles where a motorcycle means you can actually get places in under an hour. I've been wondering about a few things and thought the forums would be a great place to start. I do spin wrenches on my own vehicles, so apologies if I pop up with a desperate question, I'm usually at my wits end by that point, manuals and internet not yielding an answer. Regards to all, Drew

  14. Started by PB1,

Hi Everybody, I'm Mike from North Essex and am the proud new owner of a 1982 RS200. I understand these are pretty thin on the ground and I'm looking forward to riding it and getting it into decent shape. Since I was 14, which was a long time ago, I've had many bikes, from a 1950's Norton, Bantam, 70's Hondas and Suzukis, various more modern enduro and trials bikes (plus a very scary Ossa trials sidecar outfit we managed to campaign for a few seasons) and then onto "Adventure" bikes in later years. Since dropping an Aprillia Pegaso on my driveway and not being able to pick it up without using a trolley-jack, I decided a much lighter Honda CB400SF was the right bike f…

Hi, my name is highsign and I have a motorcycle addiction. As a child I lived upstairs of my fathers Triumph/Norton dealership in Youngstown Ohio. This started my obsession with motorcycles and 55yrs later I still can't get this monkey off my back. The Yamahas I currently own are: 87FZR750RT, 85RZ350, 94YZF750R and 09RI. Thanks for listening.

  19. Hey Guys Names Tom, got my first ever motorbike today! I wanted something to run around in once I finish my degree. I managed to find an SR125 1993 for £350. Needs some work doing on it such as the front lights. I went to see the bike last Sunday and the guy started it up for me ran fine and everything. However, when it's put into gear it cuts out - he said it was because the electrics are not properly connected (made sense to me BUT is this true?). So anyway, got it home today and it didn't start. It's pretty cold so I thought it could be because I wasn't using the choke. So, I pulled the choke out (and held it as it snaps back on the SR125) ignition on and presse…

  20. Started by danielxm,

I've recently joined up and wanted to say hi (a bit belatedly)! I owned a fair few bikes in my younger days, had a gap for a number of years and then got back into biking again about 4 years ago. I started out many years ago with a DT50, and amongst others then had several DT125s (mostly de-restricted), and a TY175 which was virtually indestructible. Currently I have a VFR800, and a KLR600 both of which are great bikes in their very different ways. I'm hoping to get another Yam soon, ideally a TT600RE and thought I'd join the club to find out more from folks, see if I could source a bike, and hopefully contribute in future.
