Hi guys, Fairly new to this forum but I have a question that has been bothering me for a few months. I took my Yamaha vity to the dealership to get the rear wheel checked over because I noticed I slight wobble to the rear wheel when engaging the throttle. The guy who checked it over said "not trying to sound funny but this is the cheapest Yamaha scooter you can buy so not everything is going to be perfect and said that the slight wobble is acceptable" As a newbie I took this as good advise and that I'm being picky but upon searching the forums relating to this topic I'm not so sure now. I check the rear wheel for play and there is no evidence of this but only see the w…

Hi all, Just thought I'd say hi. I've been riding for a couple of years but always relied on other people to do my maintenance for me... so i recently thought I should pull my finger out and learn! I ride an R6 1999 and have invested in some new tools to get me started. I wanna apologise if I ask stupid questions on here, so if you see any of my posts, please bear in mind I know very little about mechanics and maintenance! Thanks for all your help in advance, Sam

Oops, managed to make my first post without introducing myself! I'm up in Crieff, Scotland with a 1977 DT250MX in pretty good nick until I started to meddle and discovered bodge jobs from front to rear, no matter I'm working my way through them. I'm no stranger to bikes but the arrival of two Sprogs resulted in me being advised strongly to get rid of the bike! I then bumped into a lad in the pub who had this bike lying in his shed for 14 years and had barely used it, a couple of beers later I found myself trudging back to the house with the bike! Story so far: Exhaust manifold studs snapped off in the head - fixed Bodged bearing spacer in back wheel - fixed St…

Hi there. Sorry I'm just introducing myself but I've been informed I have to. It's an unwritten rule. (thanks airhead). I would still be stuck if it wasn't for you. I'm David completely new to the forum world. I'm 22 from ayr Scotland. A motor mechanic to trade but two strokes really get me sometimes ha. Going to go for my bike license soon but not been on a bike for a few years so thought I'd buy a cheap field bike and get some experience but I have started stripping it and really getting into the whole restore thing. Got a few questions to ask if anyone could lend a hand. Thanks a lot David.

Hello to everyone from sunny Manchester I currently ride a 2002 Fazer 600 which I've had for about 5 years. It's in a half hearted sreet fighter style after a spill wrecked the fairing, so it's a bit of a work in progress. In the process of digging it out of the garage as it's not been ridden since before last summer (bought a motorhome and went touring round France for 6 weeks last summer and spent most weekends away with the family). So I'm determined to get it out this year and make the most of it and do a bit of exploring. Looking forward to being a member and becoming part of the YOC community. Thanks Dave

I am new to this site, and I am trying to figure it out. In my endeavor to do so, I noticed that the first thing I need to do is an introduction... here goes I have been riding bikes off and on since I was old enough to kickstart a trail 90:) I have mostly ridden dirt bikes, but recently I bought a dusty old yamaha 400 special. I got a really good deal on it, but the carburetor came in pieces in a box... :/ I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so I'm sure i'll have it road worthy in a short time. In my search for a manual, I stumbled upon this site, and I found it pretty informative. Here I am! Hope to see some of you on the road! Hello everyone!

Hi all, Thought I'd better introduce myself to you. I'm Colin, aged 61 going on 24 and have been riding for over 40 years. My present ride is a Fazer FZS600 and I have to say it's probably the best bike I have ever owned. It does everything from scratching to touring and does it well (apart from the numb bum after about 2 hours). I ride all year round and do about 10000 miles on a mixture of roads and it very seldom lets me down. I'll add to my profile, photos etc when I get some time. I'm at work at present (yes, working like a slave thank you very much). It's just that I'm unusual in that I'm a male who can multitask - just ask the wife. I can listen to her and slee…
